They have some unique housing options for homeless people. I've seen the staff be really nice with some people who come across very challenging. They have some great rooms to provide an inexpensive place to have self help groups. I am the secretary of of a CMA meeting there and SHARE! was helpful and supportive through the process of getting it set up. I'm proud to be connected with SHARE! DTLA

Great place to attend various 12-step and self-help meetings.

They have a large board with all available meetings in the lobby AND their website also lists available meetings too. (FYI - I Have seen meetings online which were actually no longer at the location.)

The staff I have interacted with were friendly and helpful.

SHARE the Self Help and Recovery Exchange is great for self help recovery. Complete with local phone access, computers with internet access, 12 and non 12 step meetings. With SHARE anyone can start there own meeting. There are pleasant and highly qualified team of staff know as PEER SPECIALIST who are here to assist everyone who enters SHARE . SHARE also offers collaborative housing referrals. I highly recommend to all sober, non sober, families or individuals with or without addiction or even supporters of family members and friends to come to SHARE and begin the road to sobriety from drugs, alcohol and many other forms of addiction or to simply support others while they tred the road of addiction fee lifestyles.

They have great meetings and support groups for everyone, not just for homeless. However, if you are homeless, and serious about cleaning up, they offer rapid services to help you too

Stop donating too this racket! Your wasting your money.

I have 20 years addiction counseling and group home run experisnce.

Let me spell out what they are doing.

They receive houses to put people with addictions, mental health issues ect...They put two people per bed do 10 in a 5 bedroom home. They require upfront money if your homeless, 600-1000 upfront. Know any truly homeless person with a extra 600-1000 dollars? So they take donations on the promises that your money is helping the homeless, while keeping your donations, and charging people for rooms...

Now the reason I’m writing this review,

I called SHARE to volunteer MY time to actually help people, offered 50 hours a week, 6 days a week.
Left 3 messages, with directors in housing and SHARE...
they didn’t have the common decency to even call back...
Why? You figure a man that wants to work full time for free helping others, could get a call back? Nope, they are loaded with money, they have all the free labor they need, from people like you handing this scam company their money. It needs to stop, company’s hiding under a vail of non profit, exploitation of the needy for cash interest.

Note to SHARE

WE SEE WHAT YOUR DOING...using the addicted, homeless, Ill
For a money grab from caring people, that you manipulate into thinking their money does anything beneficial for the less fortunate!

Peer Resource Center where self-help is a shared dynamic! Essentially, it is a crisis resource center, staffed by people who are in or have dealt with crisis, under the auspices of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. It offers a short term live-in-and-away program for addictive recovery, and other relief, counseling, and referral to individuals in crisis.

Great place to find the help you need. It's a self help peer group....Well...its been awhile since I wrote that review but after living in a collaborative house, I feel sorry for the residents and the owners...IF the house is in shambles then SHARE WILL ABANDONED THE HOUSE with its "Peer Bridgers" and the residents and owners will be left to fend for themselves. This "person" Maria who is part of Management will instruct the Peer Bridger to not do anything. Anyone want to join a "Class action lawsuit" please contact me....inmymind 9512 at gmail dot com

Pretty friendly volunteers but doesn't feel like the safest place (some people who come here don't seem particularly urbane). Some LGBT group meetings here. And the gal I talked with seemed very Gay friendly.
