This is a very good Art Center. Since I can remember they’ve been offering paid Art classes/courses throughout the year. Location is very convenient in the Shelley Lake Park grounds and it serves a large Raleigh area community.

Actually I was here to hike the trail around lake Shelley at the Arts Center. A beautiful hike around the lake. Paved walkway, minimal hills.

It’s a great public place from beginning to advanced artists. Even if you don’t know how to hold a paintbrush, there are people here who are more than willing to help. The scenery is beautiful around Shelly Lake. There is a 2 1/2 mile hike I think around the lake so if you wanna catch some beautiful scenery, you can always do that as an alternative.

The people here are amazing! I took a pottery class and loved it! The prices were great and the space was fully functional. If I could change one thing, t would be expanded weekend hours. However, they are open until 10PM on the weekdays, which can be very helpful.
