Make sure you are “woke” if you apply to be a foster/ adoptive parent here. If you are a nurturing family with morals and standards you may be denied. I was not interested in indoctrinating my charges with the woke ideology of today such as transgender-ism, telling males they can be females, etc.
The other thing you may want to consider is that California expects foster families to take the onus of reuniting children that have been abused, neglected and/or abandoned to the very family that they were removed from. My family and I spent months of time filling out applications, attending their trainings and doing background checks with everything completely cleared and finished except for the last step. When they “decided” they didn’t actually need foster parents.
