I have been at this school since kindergarten. Even though their dress code can be annoying I find this to be a good school. Most of the teachers are very nice and want to help, and fighting is a rare problem. This school seems to be a safe school, learning here has been a good experience, it hasn’t always been easy with all of their strict rules but you get used to it. My brother already graduated from Sra and I’m looking forward to as well.

They don't allow male students to wear their hair past their ears, eyes, or back of the neck. This is to help teach young men... how? Teaches them sexism at a very malleable age is what it does. That they have to suppress any natural interests in growing hair out or being different. There's no hair requirements for the young women of the school yet there is for young men? Yeah, that's a no from me. Uniforms are fine, makes it easier to get ready. But hair? Whether long or short, it's a part of a young man, and young woman's identity. To squeeze that out of then young is a pitiful attempt at control. I wouldn't even let me or my family go here if I was paid.

Had three grandchildren graduate from SRA with high academic grades. The school has developed over the years strong academic, social, athletic, and community foundations that give the students a well-rounded structure as they enter the public sector upon graduation.

Went to this school for high school, most strict and stuck up group of individuals I've met. Super strict uniforms that you'll be sent home if you're wearing even the wrong socks, you have to buy the uniforms from the school because God forbid you buy a navy polo from Walmart. School spirit days are by far the dumbest, if you want to participate in school spirit days you have to PAY to let your own kid wear jeans or colored socks. Not to mention the 3 strike rule for red track where if your kid misses 3 assignments they're kicked out, which doesn't apply to on campus full time students. Given all this strictness the school should be super good education but literally I barely remember a thing I learned at this school

I went to their orientation and was very impressed with their overall curriculum. I was very excited to put him on the wait list. It’s been almost 5 years and he still hasn’t been picked on the lottery they have once a year. At this point my son is in 10th grade and I have zero expectations that he will ever attend this school. I’m extremely disappointed that I’ve never been contacted in all these years waiting! I recommend to anyone reading this and considering this school for their child/children to look elsewhere. There are other good charter schools that actually care if your child/children attend their school.

I am very disappointed parent indeed.

The worse school. My daughter was treated like she was a criminal defendant awaiting for her sentence during a board review. This school uses discriminatory practices towards non-white students. The teachers were rude and unprofessional. The board members think they are judges.

Bring your children here, and you will not regret it. The academics, the activities, the staff, and the most important is how admin encourages students to be in character, which is main priority for SRA. The only problem is that visual/performing arts is not taken seriously as it should be- the school is more sports-oriented. Anyways, I've been here since 7th grade and just graduated.
