The staff was wonderful the few weeks that I was there. The place is always kept clean. The food was great. The staff professional level were a bit uneven. The wound nurse was very knowledgeable, but some other staff is far from professional. Overall, they responded quickly. The PT & OT staff was the best.

I have just spent the last month at San Bruno skilled nursing facility. I have to say that overall it has been a very positive experience. I came in with multiple fractures from a tree falling on me and was unable to move without excruciating pain. In one month I have had excellent care, and excellent PT OT enabling me to walk, toilet, shower and dress myself. The CNA staff is excellent with extra shouts out to Sareeta, Tess and Ruby, who were kind, caring, loving and fun. Nursing staff Alma, Thomas, Andrew and Kirsten. PT/ OT staff Evan, May and Keith were all outstanding.

The bad: the facility is noisy and very crowded, with some maintenance items that could use upgrades. ( exhaust fans in bathrooms, better lighting, courtyard improvements) The gym was used to its max, and could be improved with more room and a bike. The food was awful, with breakfast being the exception. Seems like this could be easily improved.

The good: exceptionally clean , and great, caring staff.

My loved one was just discharged one month ago after two weeks of staying there. The wound care team is the best, Chayane is very professional and knowledgeable for wound care. My loved one had a stage III wound when he came in and almost healed when he was discharged. PT/OT teams are also very good, very caring, and experienced. They have on-site kitchen to cook healthy and delicious meals, that's awesome!
The only thing I need to bring here is that the discharging process was not going well. They forgot to check with our Kaiser doctor to get the oral diabetic medicine ready for home to replace the insulin he took in the facility. They also refuse to do it and discharge him anyway. Diabetes without medication is high risky. Shouldn't happen again!!!

Our family had the most amazing experience with San Bruno Skilled Nursing Hospital! The facility is great and best of all the staff here were very loving and caring. This is very well managed establishment and are very happy we made the choice to have a dear family member of ours stay here. I want to give special shoutout to all the member of the staff here, especially the therapist and activity director. I would highly recommend putting your loved one in their care!

Amazing facility but more importantly a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The staff are some of the best people you could come across who always put their patients first. From the Activity Director to the Therapists, this is a wonderful place for anyone looking for care for loved ones.

I have been a Caregiver for 11 years and I have never seen such a lovely facility. The facility is so clean and well run. The staff is friendly and helpful with patients and their families. All staff work well with each other and truly love their jobs. Thank you to all that work here for your empathy and love!

The staff are very friendly and go the extra distance to make you feel comfortable when transitioning an elderly parent for post-surgery rehabilitation. Appreciate the explanation of visitation procedures for family and friends. Looking forward to working with the team over the next few weeks!!

Overall, not a bad facility. The facility is always clean and the staff is friendly. In fact, it would have received a higher rating except that facility and staff are very loud and sometimes English-challenged. Great place for someone that only needs skilled nursing. However, if you need quiet and rest in order to recover, this may not be the right place for you.
