They're decent for a homeless shelter and soup kitchen. I spent about two months there with my service dog, Morganpup; the first service dog to reside at Samaritan Ministries. We had a bit of a bumpy start, with them telling me to beat it the first time we showed up because they didn't understand that service dogs are protected by federal law; we were offered no compassion, or advice, just "beat it." That didn't seem particularly Christian to me, but we retreated to our spot in the woods and stayed there for a week (as instructed) while City with Dwellings discussed the matter with them; the next time we showed up we were let in, no questions, and placed in the quarantine room so no one had to be exposed to dog. Total win!

Morganpup was treated like royalty during her entire stay here; while we were in isolation she got her own bunk, she was allowed to go outside whenever (even after check-in), and the smoking area was essentially her own personal play area (except during lunch or when known dog haters were nearby). 5/5 stars, -1 for the unwelcoming attitude the first time.

Where do I begin? This establishment houses the homeless and people in need. Feeds whoever's hungry and goes there between 11am-2pm Monday through Friday and 12pm-2pm on Saturday and Sunday. It's very clean and has a lot of staff that are friendly and helpful. If you are in the position to, please donate and contribute to this shelter.

Awesome volunteers... good food. Just blessed to have a place to eat when it could be the only meal someone has all every day only once a day but I'm truly thankful for them. I have my favorite volunteers also. Such sweet genuine people

Volunteering at the soup kitchen was one of the most wonderful experiences I have had in a long time. The volunteers were outstanding and so loving and warm. This is an experience I will never forget and I look forward to doing this again.
Thank you Ms.Anna for you and your staffs wonder hospitality.

Not a bad homeless shelter tbh. Place is rather new. You just gotta get use to sleeping on a cot and hearing alot of the guys snore. The people that run the place can be a little rude at times but overall nice guys! This place is doing God's work. The food is difficult to get use to it's close to prison food but better then starving.

Great place for good hearted men to turn their life around and make better choices and accept help. During this time, you are (well) feed and have access to a councilor. Hope they never read this but a couple of them could work on their additude but there are always someone testing the rules and their patience. I would highly recommend this shelter for growth and direction.

Okay so the Samaritan is phenomenal they serve lunch every day between 11:00 and 1:00 and on the weekends between 11:00 and 2:00 they serve a hot meal every single day for people that to come to partake they also give groceries and to somebody that is trying to gradually work back into society as in a place to live etc etc it is a great stepping stone that can be of great help they have many other services you have to you have to be able to go and talk to them about some of these things they usually have once a week a time when you can go and take a shower and it is a very very nice place
Also they do typically have beds where people can stay as a shelter have been notified recently that most of the beds in the shelters have been full so this is something that you again have to approach the Samaritan in which to ask
