I was with sage for about 4 years. In the begining it was good. Good staff good managment and services... then something changed about a year and a half ago. Where sage become distant and and cold towards me. After they fired my staff and blamed it on me for it around this last august, they started to ignore my needs and neglect me. They assumed i didnt want to participate in any of there social activites...... they are a SLS company but they sent one person a week when i had staff monday through friday for atleast a couple hours. I talked to one of the other clients and she had 6 different staff 7 days a week but couldnt find 1 staff for me for the week. My supervisor who blamed me for my ex staff firing was Brian Mykasa. The staff supervisor nick thornberry and 2nd in charge victor triullo were the ones i had contact with and they lied and failed me. In closing sage used to care about people with disabilties but now they do the bare minium and hope that gets them by.

Reminder mental health matters, only saying this because of an issue that happened with a helper and I won’t say who exactly but like starting drama with a coordinator isn’t ok and we should all know we are all adults. If you are wanting to work here please don’t do this cause if you make drama they might go to someone like me as in someone with a disability that needs help.. at the moment I didn’t get help and missed classes cause I got put into drama that I didn’t need.. being harassed and manipulated isn’t fun. My mental health matters and I shouldn’t have to deal with this. I will give you a second chance hopefully it’s good cause I have trust issues.

I've had a couple of different staff who don't care about your schedule or you.
Getting tired of Narcissists staff and supervisors who barely understand.

They don't care about you. I would call a lot and one time, when I really needed help, they didn't care. The lady supervisor (I forgot her name Lashawn was it?) thought it was funny to not take my calls. They would purposely avoid my calls and get frustrated very easily.

I witnessed staff 𝙨𝙢𝙤𝙠𝙚 indoors with the physically disabled participants.
I have heard of staff DRINK with participants.

2023:
Elisha Templin is still employed with SAGE. (working with participants who suffer from substance abuse)

Almost 5 participants died from failure of medical care & terrible scheduling.
Unfortunately SAGE’s ignorance just continues grow. Just like the MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in their pockets.
Do better.

It has been an endless downhill.
I have never experienced such a toxic environment...

This is the most inhumane companies in Ventura County.
The employees are allowed to smoke and sleep in front of individuals who have disabilities. Shame on you!

Sage has been Horrible since the new pres the workers had no knowledge of disabilities and were just babysitting plus never showed up for meetings or classes she had . I'm appalled at the way Disabled Americans have been treated it will be reported .

I’ve had two disabled people walk up my street picking through the recycling. This is illegal in Ventura. Not to mention a bad look for the community to have our handicap digging through trash. I saw the caretaker following the disabled(autistic) person in her car. I confronted her and she said the organization she was apart of was called SAGE. Would you want your disabled relative breaking the law and digging through trash! Smh. Let’s get more creative than that!
