Some of the prices are laughable especially in the meat department. Store brand ground beef in 1 lb packs was 10-12.99 a pound you got to be kidding me! You had to buy the giant pack of beef to get the “discount price” I’ve seen better prices for top quality meat at sprouts; definitely won’t be returning in this economy
EDIT: I returned post reply from the store to see prices are still the same as far as the ground beef prices go, still all over the place and too extreme for store brand REGRIND beef. Charging 7.99 to 10.99 for one pound of 80/20 is highway robbery. they started a 4 for 20 “deal” for some items it seems okay; something savemart has been doing. As far as price for 4 for 20 deal you save a couple bucks if you pick the right things. I noticed on my walkthrough that some packages of meat were double trayed before wrapped when previously they weren’t. Working in retail for 10+ years you know it wasteful to double tray something unless it is super heavy. Costco doesn’t double tray heavy cuts of meat so why should a small two pack steak at Safeway be double trayed? Once is a mistake twice is a choice. It costs the store fractions of a cent for a tray. Accounting for extra moisture and another foam tray the difference may be negligible for some even if it only ads one or two cents to the price of the item, over the course of a week or a month it’s more money coming out of customers pocket in the long run and adds more to trash being thrown away every year.

Absolutely will not be returning. I visited today to purchase a dozen donuts, and one of the employees was loudly yelling about a homeless person inside the store, claiming they were going to steal. This behavior was completely disrespectful. Regardless of the situation, it is unacceptable for an employee to act in such a manner towards anyone in the store. If this is how he chooses to conduct himself while on the job, it raises serious concerns about his professionalism. I cannot support a store that employs individuals who think it’s acceptable to treat others this way.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE
I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and I was ordering treats for my great niece and nephews for Halloween via phone. I attempted to do it online and website is not user-friendly whatsoever.
I spoke with Miss Nikki this morning in the bakery. She took everything down that I requested to make the 3 orders extra special!
Updated the pictures! Love love love them!
Thank you for all your help in making this happen!

I truly feel that she went above and beyond I even spoke with the manager of the store. Andrew as well, flawless customer service

Safeway has just about everything . Prices are about average comparable to other groceries in the area. Deli has good food served daily. Most is fresh (most). Tunes are usually slow but self check out is rarely used. So I do self check.

Open till 2:00? I'm here at the front door and it's closed. It's only 1:40. Another person came up and knocked on the door. And no response from staff. Don't believe the dates and times you see on Google.

We had a great experience in this store. The customer service was exemplary. Ruth in the deli quickly answered our call, we asked about what was is stock over the holiday weekend and she helped and was friendly. When we arrived she continued to help and was so nice. I have gotten so used to bad service that she was a big breath of fresh air. I will return because I feel like a valued customer.

Checking out today is a nightmare. It’s the weekend before Thanksgiving and there is only two lines open. This store on Cypress is perhaps the worst managed Safeway on the planet.

I’ve been ordering birthday cakes from this location over 30 years no problem

The new baker is not good!! I’m livid at so disappointed!!

Birthday cake had thin to No Raspberry filling & cake was dry - frosting only thing good

Returned day bought and went to save mart who saved the day and had a chocolate raspberry cake that was moist & lots filling & delicious ?
