If you are looking for a place to rent kayaks, canoe, or paddle boards then this place is perfect and offer many different types of options. They give you extra time to get into the water and then they start your time. Very reasonable prices and a very beautiful location! Definitely recommend coming during the weekday but even during the weekend they get you in the water pretty fast. They have many different types of kids groups there during the weekends. The only complaint is the signing in part, wish there was an easier way and a faster way.

One of the best community resources greater Sacramento has. Took a power boating class and got some great hands-on experience on the water doing challenging docking techniques. I plan to come back for sailing, windsurfing, and basically all the classes! Keep up the good work, guys!

Amazing! Go early if you go on the weekends. You will need to have ID and car keys as collateral. Great fun! Staff is very knowledgeable and they rent kayaks, paddle boards and sailboats. Parking is free if you are renting. No dogs allowed here but are allowed across the shore at Nimbus.
The coves are accessible when the water is higher. Easier to row on non windy days and no motor boats creating wakes, so nice and calm waters.

It’s a really terrible system at check-in. We waited 20 minutes in line with one person working. You have to have your car keys to give to them and we drive an electric vehicle so our phone is our key. After talking about it for 10 minutes I finally decided to accept a credit card instead. When we return the line was 30 minutes long and they charged us for an additional half hour even though the half hour we spent was in line. When we mentioned this, they said that’s just how it works lol

Such a great place if you're looking to do kayaking, canoeing and etc. My cousin decided to take me and my fiancée here while we were in town visiting. He made an appointment online and they make you sign a waiver beforehand. They also have a waiver printed out for you on site if you don't have a printer. Doing the kayak was fun and you get to explore the surrounding. This was our first time doing kayaking and it took us a while to get the hang of things. We only did it for an hour because the sun was fully out and my fiancée got tired. We will be sure to try it again when we come back or have time. The employees were really helpful on explaining things and let us leave our stuff at the pier. We went on Monday morning so there wasn't a lot of people there but it was really sun and warm.

A great place for water activities. During the summer they have week long camps for kids where they teach them to kayak, and sail on the lake. They also have fun games and equipment to play on when they are not being taught water activities. The only downside is that the lake water is very cold, even during the summer.

Beautiful spot to paddle board! For a Friday evening there was a decent amount of people but there’s so much room to space out. It’s really nice that it’s a 5 mph lake, you don’t get the wakes like you do when out at Folsom
