These people have jobs for no reason at all. Case workers NEVER answer the phone and NEVER call back. I don't know what they're so busy doing if they don't talk to anyone, they're out of office, or at lunch. It's been 2 months since my case has been pending. I don't know why they won't approve it because NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK.

If you’re asked to come down here: I’m so sorry.

Make sure to bring something to keep you occupied for at least an hour. 2 if you’re unlucky like I was.
Bring headphones. Also people have their kids running across the seats so be prepared for that.
They WILL yell at you if you’re not coming to the numbers properly from the red line so pay attention to that.
Honestly had to google the address because I was told “between Kaiser on heacock” with no proper address. The building is hard to miss but it’s definitely a testament.
Make sure you can do what you can on the benefits cal website. Coming down here is a nightmare. It’s like the DMV but somehow way more rude, slow and kind of unkept. Kind of is being nice

I'm not really good at this kind of stuff, but the staff helped me to understand what I need to fill out

Long lines, but the Kiosk was fast, easy, and I got a printed receipt for proof of dropping them off. After now receiving them when I mailed them, this was exactly what I needed and wanted, proof. Got a text later that day saying that my papers were received and they will let me know if more information is needed. It was so perfect that I will only do it this way from now on, no more snail mail.

They have you go in circles for 20 minutes on the phone, just to hang up once the verification process in done, which by the way is very strenuous in itself. I think it does our race and community a disservice, that it is believed they have no standards to uphold. As if their clients need more poise and patients then they do. I also feel it's devoid of any professionalism that they can hang up in people's faces, people with head injuries, special cases etc. It makes me wonder what exactly do they do, since it isn't help. I've been up there as soon as they open, didn't eat nothing, up there 5 hours regardless with a toothache from several wisdom teeth, with a knee that pops out of place, with a hurt back from Amazon... And they will forget to call your number, and blame you as if your not hurt enough to listen intently . And I can't call instead because of improper phone etiquette and lack of human decency . Like there apathetic nature is what scares me most with society. Like they don't understand when helping someone should be their priority because they get paid either way, so hanging up the phone gives them a sense of accomplishment and importance. Instead of the importance of fulfillment that would come from actually helping. I called 3 separate times, stayed in a loop which made my head hurt for 10+ minutes each time. And they just couldn't do it. Like God expects more from me with a blunt force trauma head injury - then they assume he expects of them on the clock

Waited to see a worker for intercounty transfer that has been pending over 60 days just for the rep to inform me there's nothing she can do to help me. I am five months pregnant, the service here was no service to me at all. I specifically mentioned that while checking in, he could've just told me we can not help you here so I wouldn't have to wait since that's all they told me once I saw the rep who had two other females sitting with her. All she handed me was a phone number to Inter county transfer unit that I already have and the mailbox is full since they do not answer.

There worst part about this DPSS, are the ladies who pick up the customer service line. Literally, they are the most miserable people on earth. 8/10 ladies that answer the phone have no shame in being extremely rude and never looking to help anyone. They enjoy hanging up on you.
It’s basically no point in calling, your going to need to see someone in person down at the office.
