A great church with sermons that will knock your socks off! I'm here from Florida, and although the music is a bit loud for my old-lady taste, the heart it is presented with makes me "turn down my hearing aides" and join in.

Pastor Michael is fabulous. His sermons are on the money (not that he asks for $$) and gives me things to think about during the week.

The church is supporting 22 missionaries and has a refrigerator for the community to come share. Pastor Michael stands at the front door and greets people leaving church who want to talk to him. The line goes forever, but he talks to each family or person, and amazingly enough, he seems to remember who you are! (Don't worry, there are other doors to get out if you don't feel like waiting!)

All in all, the Spirit of the Living God is alive and well at Riverside. It is my new Illinois church while I'm here

The most real church I've been to. Holy spirit and the move of god is evident in this place and through these people. From worship to the ministries they do, the love of god shines through riverside. The people genuine and vulnerable and leadership truly makes community a priority. Ive never seen a church who's staff and leaders are so ingrained with the people of this church. It truly is a church family. While no church is perfect, this is an amazing place to be and highly recommend trying to find your people and get plugged in!

I am new to peoria from the West Coast. I signed up and paid 15 backround check to volunteer for a special needs prom event here. I paid my fee and commitmented my free time to training only to show up, and they had "no record" of me. Megan, the lead, tried to insinuate that I did not complete the requirements to VOLUNTEER! I came to volunteer my time dressed up only to be insulted and turned away TO VOLUNTEER. very racist vibes. They missed out on a helpful volunteer, community member, potential church member, and donations. It's sad that these types of people are the face of the church. And we wonder why people choose not to attend anymore.

Riverside is an amazing church. I have grown so much closer to the Lord since being there. The worship team is absolutely amazing also. Pastor John teaches from scripture. I love that he doesn't water it down. He teaches to love others as Jesus did. AMEN!

I am still a visitor but I must say this church family is very loving. Pastor John shares from his heart and teaches straight from God's word. No sugar coating and no legalistic condemnation. I walk away from praise, worship and hearing God's Word with knowing the service was all about the love of Jesus! I look forward to becoming more involved as it is very clear this church is all about ministry and missionary work both within the community and the world!
