I just left here after 7 months, and it was such a blessing to my recovery. I have 10 months sober, which is the longest Iโ€™ve ever had, and I donโ€™t know if that would have been possible without this house. The house is clean, and everyone gets along. There is a strong sense of community here, and the owner and house leader were very supportive when I needed someone to talk to for guidance. This place truly cares, and it shows. Other sober livings tend to cram as many people as they can fit into a place, but here they want you to be comfortable.

Please ignore the negative reviews. I was there for both situations, and all Iโ€™m going to say is that rules are in place to give you a sense of accountability and help the house run as smoothly as it does. They also help you form good habits that will benefit you your whole life. Unfortunately, accountability isnโ€™t for everyone. It is what it is haha

Iโ€™ve got to give a shoutout to my man James! Life tested me a LOT early in recovery, and it was great to have someone to talk to who saw me going through those struggles. He always seemed genuinely interested in my recovery and had a lot of wisdom when I told him about the things I was going through.

Again, I just want to say thank you guys. I truly believe I am going to be sober for the rest of my life.

I would like to publicly thank Rise Above Sober Homes. This HOME has saved my nephews life. The staff is amazing incredible caring and soo family oriented. I am forever grateful and thankful that my nephew had an opportunity to feel loved during this time of growing mentally emotionally physically and all around as a person. I would totally recommend these homes if you need help in this journey of sober living. Like I said they are life savers. The home is always clean, feels great, very hospitable in the transition and over all feels like a home. They might be a full house but they have become a family. The staff is always available and is consistently fulfilling the needs as they arise. I love how strict they are because it keeps everyone accountable. The community they build is amazing with family dinners is a plus. I pray blessings always. Thank you Bill, James, Andrew and all the guys who helped along the way. Blessings

First start off by saying that the owner and house manager are really amazing people, Bill the owner has gotten multiple people high paying careers not regular jobs , but well paying ones, and has had multiple bbq's and holiday events, The house manager James is the person you will be dealing with on the regular basis, he is a very honest and straightforward person, also he is very fair as well and will help you with transportation and food when you first get in there to get on your feet, the house is very clean and up to date, i stayed there for almost a year and I can say that I had gotten very lucky to find this place, if you rlooking for someone to help keep you on track this is the place, i have heard alot of stories about sober livings and the things that may be going on, if your looking for a environment to where they are serious about sobriety of the community this is the place, The house manager James is very flexible to your schedule and will support you on your journey to success, one thing that is not tolerated at all is any kind of drug or alcohol usage, they are extremely strict on that and there is random testing where you will be held accountable, the only thing that was rough for me was the blackout period but that is standard, but you are allowed to go to places of necessity, overall i would recommend if you are serious about getting your life on track and being help accountable and also if you want to be in a place to where you can look to the manager and owner for help not just in your recovery but also help with resources and jobs, AA meetings are mandatory as well. I would definitely recommend this place to others who would like to in a safe, clean and supportive environment.

I've been living here for 6 months, and I can honestly say that bill and James have saved my life. This is the best sober living I've ever been and I've been to many. They wear there hearts on there sleeves and actually care. If something needs to be done they take care of it. They take time out of they're lives and make sure we got everything we need. They're not just doing this just for the money. I would highly recommend this sober living to anyone that wants a safe place to start over. Recovery is possible, and rise above sober living will help make it that much easier to strive and be your best you!
Thank you Bill and James ๐Ÿ˜

After being a part of this sober living community and being my first time in one, I have to say that this experience of being a resident here has been beyond exceptional. Between the camaraderie of our housemates, the welcoming and jovial atmosphere, and a house manager who truly makes us feel cared for, heard, and respected. The owner who runs the establishment is very involved in our recovery and provides a safe, clean, and fun home! From organizing events for holidays and ensuring attentiveness to our well-being. I'd highly recommend this as a haven to any individual who is looking for a monumental change in their living environment which promotes sobriety and can help improve your quality of life, one day at a time.

Thank you, Rise Above, for being a vital part of my recovery!!

After living here for some time I thought I'd share another review. Rise Above Sober Living is a truly unique and professionally designed house where there is genuine peer support and encouragement around staying sober. The house manager in particular is exceptional and always has the right thing to say in regards to what it means to be sober. The house culture and environment is extremely positive and there is an uplifting quality as opposed to a 'down' quality. There are regular house meetings where house needs are managed well, the house rules make a lot of sense and keep a good sense of order, and there is even a Rise Above Recovery meeting held for members of the house. It's located in a safe neighborhood and all members of the house are responsible men with the shared intention of sobriety. I'm so glad I found Rise Above.

A review worth reading!
If I could give a zero I would. If you are looking for a sober home to help in your next step of recovery I would look elsewhere before filling a bed at Rise Above. The owner is in it strictly for the money and the head of house James micro manages every step of every grown man there. I get there needs to be rules and a sign in and sign out sheet I can understand but texting the head of house at every move you make is a bit over the top. The owner refuses to run the AC, mind you there are 18 beds in a 7 bedroom house and it is in the middle of the summer. Money is requested on a weekly basis to cover the cost of toilet paper and cleaning supplies. The refrigerators are broken and not one thing is said until you go to get your food and it is spoiled. A drug test is done when you first get to the house and thatโ€™s pretty much it. Drug paraphernalia was found and not one person in the house was tested!
Some of the men there are afraid to speak out because they have nowhere else to go so I will be the voice for them. I will take this all the way to the state level until these men have better living conditions. The owner is pocketing a ton of money while these men are trying to get back on their feet.
