After my first session with Jeff I was very happy and knew I had made the right choice.
Not only did he make me feel comfortable and safe, he was aware of my hesitation and knew just how to get things moving! The environment he created during our sessions was very relaxed making it more comfortable to open up. As an added bonus it helped that he has a light hearted and appropriate sense of humor.
Along with his relatable personality, Jeff’s sense of awareness and recall from our previous visits made me feel like he genuinely cared. He not only listened, but heard what I was saying. This goes a long way! His approach felt tailored to my needs and sensibilities, allowing for emotional, spiritual and psychological health AND growth. Jeff was always graceful at balancing empathy and compassion with identifying themes and thought patterns. (Those pesky ANTs!)
There was never a time where I felt rushed during our visit or that I wasn’t a priority on his schedule. His flexibility and ease of communication made the whole experience feel like a pleasure instead of commitment.
Reflecting on my time working with Jeff, it has been nothing short of rewarding and stimulating. I look forward to having future sessions with Jeff when I feel the need to reach out again.

Absolutely incredible experience with Jeff Oakes at Quest Counseling Group! As a former school counselor and principal, his guidance was invaluable for my teen. My pre-teen is seen by Mr. Oakes and has shown a huge improvement in his demeanor, confidence and outlook on difficult situations. He has also learned a variety of coping techniques to help him in everyday life and reduce his anxiety. I would highly recommend him!
