I hesitated to write this review, but my recent experience hosting my daughter's baby shower at this venue compels me to share it. The weekend started off poorly when, the night before the party, the venue staff had lost our reservation paperwork and were unaware of our event. We had to provide proof of our reservation and payment.

The situation worsened during the shower itself. Despite having paid $650 to rent the hall for a private event, the girlfriend of the Manager I rented it from walked directly through our party to use the restroom. When I politely asked if I could help her with something, she stated she was just using the restroom and that because she knew the manager, she could be there. I explained it was a private event and suggested she use the restroom in the bar area. She became angry, yelled at me and as I walked away, she followed me to the other side of the room and demanded my name, which I refused to give. She then threatened to find out where I live and again demanded my name, yelling at me until I yelled back "none of your business!" Two of my guests yelled out and told her to leave. This disruptive and upsetting altercation occurred while my daughter was opening her gifts.

I contacted the manager on Monday, and he told me this was his girlfriend and was already aware of the incident and that she was upset. He claimed his girlfriend told him she was asked to leave when she entered. This is completely untrue.

Adding to the negative experience, the venue was filthy. Floor was black, left over food on the floor, and wet red wine still on the tables. I actually left it cleaner than it was when we arrived. No tables or garbage was left behind. I also paid a $100 cleaning/reservation fee and a $50 membership fee, for which I still haven't received a membership card, despite texting a copy of my reservation after they misplaced it again. Mail delivery from Newark to Fremont doesn't take that long.

Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. I was treated disrespectfully, did not receive what I paid for, and have yet to receive an apology or any compensation, or my membership card. I will not be renting this venue again.

Was at the Newark pick and pull, wanted to have a beer, walked in there, asked the guy behind the bar if I needed to be a member to buy a beer, guy goes and looks for another guy behind the kitchen, guys comes out, ask him the same question, he said yes, so I said thank you and left,

Friday night ribs are pretty good, $ 25 for a dinner, including a huge portion of ribs, a side of sweet potatoes, bread, and a tray of desserts including a cookie and some custard. Never even knew what this place was until today.
