We just adopted our sweet boy from PAF and had the best experience. Maggie is very experienced and intuitive. We came in to meet 2 dogs but wasn’t feeling the click. She suggested meeting a couple other dogs and bam! We felt that magical moment when you know! Had she not gone above and beyond, picking up body language, and really listening to us, we would’ve left without finding our boy. The home check was easy to set up and pick up was a breeze. They provided a cute collar, leash, kibble, and toys. One of the staff members was very helpful in making sure his collar was on safely so he doesn’t slip out of it and helping me set him up in our car safely. I felt guided and supported through the entire process. Thank you Maggie, Heather and team for a wonderful adoption experience!

Maggie from Pet Adoption Fund was exceptionally helpful and conscientious in making sure that the adoption was in the best interest of both adopter and Stella, the adoptee. My husband and I just recently adopted our lovely Larry from PAF and it was a great experience. You can tell that every volunteer there really cares about these animals and where they end up. I've lived in many places around the country and adopted animals from several different public and private shelters over my life and I have to say PAF is the best run facility I've encountered and I'm proud that it's right in my own town. Keep doing amazing work 👏 🙌 ps Larry is the nicest most lovable kitty ever and fits perfectly in our pack.

I got my goofball of a german shepherd Oscar from here in December! Loved him as soon as they walked me up to his gate and love that they were extremely helpful and patient. I believe what they do is great and would not hesitate to go back if I get the chance to have another pal!

The adoption application was easy and simple. We received a response within 1 day. The visit appointment was arranged quickly.
On visit day, the staff was ready for us. They knew our names and which dog we wanted to see.
They answered all our questions and concerns. They even let us meet other dogs as we wanted to be sure about our decision to adopt. This was the best part!
I assume that they had only intended for us to possibly adopt 1 dog, but when they showed us around we met Spike, we loved Spike, especially on leash.
This extra time and thought given to show us a few other dogs, led us to adopt not on Mason, but Spike, his partner in adoption, as well.
They prepared all of the documents, they took the extra week before adoption day to introduce the dogs to each other and to see that they can get along.
We received all of their paperwork, a few days food so we can transition them to the dog food we would be giving then, a telephonic training appointment, training collars, and leashes of our choice, and two bathed, trimed, and ready to go to their forever home, dogs.
We love PAF! They believe in their dogs, their staff, and in the adoption process.
It's not always easy to adopty, but PAF made it happen for us.
We love our two adopted boys, Mason & Spike, whom have transitioned to their new life really quickly.

We adopted our sweet Jack there, and couldn't be happier with how he's adjusted into our family. Maggie does her best to make sure the dogs are matched with the right family, and we really appreciated that. He is friendly, sweet, healthy and well-adjusted. The only way you can go into this shelter. You have to go online, look at the cats and dogs that are there, then contact Meghan. She is the one you want to talk to. Call her leave, a message and she will call you back. well. I don't know. But Megan's the one you wanna talk to.

I gave it a low rating because of the things that I've experienced while volunteering there.
