Been here several times in the past year and it's an average of 3 hour wait to be seen by a doctor. It's encouraging watching close to ten employees standing in the E.R. chatting about how tired they are and don't want to be their and how much they don't want to help the anonymous dirty guy. Super professional. I'm so glad we closed another hospital and are now stuck with this abomination of a hospital. Do you really only have one doctor to see the entire E.R unit. Absolute trash of a hospital filled with people just there to collect a paycheck.

My spouse has been at Riverbend twice the last month and I cannot rate the staff and environment higher! What a great hospital! It is spotlessly clean, well maintained and staffed by kind, competent people. Decent food for patients and visitors, as well. If we have to be in a hospital, this is a great choice

My mother was hospitalized for a severe virus. She is 82 yo. A nurse told her “don’t touch me” cause she was coughing and totally humiliated my mom. Another nurse refused to help her reach the phone so she could talk to my brother. Not a very nice hospital. We will never go back.

Not gonna lie I waited 7 hours.. they took make back and the room was still dirty two more hours go bye and still was dirty.... Like hello Then a dude pissed on floor they cleaned with peepee pads that was it? Like I don't think that's very sanitary. And the hospital is absolutely disgusting. It needs to be cleaned. But the nurses was nice and helped me out so did the doctor but they need get some shit fixed... I've never been grossed out to go to a hospital before my whole life until now. They need to get a good cleaning crew and pay them good. Bro Don't know basic health hazards.... Fail

The nurses ,and doctors at Riverbend Peace health, Medical Center have helped me so much in the last three years. I have been there several times because of my breathing ,and other times for odds and ends type, medical concerns. They are just wonderful. The nurses are totally helpful ,and awesome. They work so hard to make sure you’re comfortable, even through the time when I was in there where we couldn’t have visitors. They tried to make me feel at home. The doctors are great. They saved my life once, I am forever in all their debt . GOD BLESS THEM.

So far not impressed! My uncle has been in the hospital for at least 20 hours and has been admitted on at the cardiac unit. Spent 40 minutes ringing his nurse during the afternoon with no answer. Finally got a message left at the main station for nurse to call me and it's been almost 3 hours waiting still! I'm my uncles only family and he does get confused some so I'm sure he's worried about me knowing where he's at!

Prefacing this by saying most of the staff were very nice and I'm sure most of the issues at this hospital are not under their control.

We saw a doctor for five to ten minutes after about two hours. Never saw her again, despite people trying to get ahold of her. I had some blood taken, then they put in an IV for an MRI. Staff would not take the IV out until we gave up waiting for the MRI after six hours (that was supposed to be a one or two hour wait) and went home.

One member of staff very patronizingly told us that the ER was not for normal doctor tasks when I asked for more bloodwork because we hadn't heard anything from any of the tests and I have very low levels of certain things historically. This was around hour three or four of the six waiting for an MRI.

No treatment or diagnosis, no answers of any kind. We were sitting in an overcrowded lobby for most of the eight-ish hours we were there. I am writing this feeling physically worse than I did when we went in yesterday.

Having one MRI for an entire hospital is absurd. The wait times in general were also absurd-- several people around me in bad shape gave up and left after waiting several hours to be seen.

When we left, staff told us to make sure I saw my primary care provider to follow up... on symptoms that sent me to the ER that were not treated or diagnosed after spending eight hours in various waiting rooms. They told me I could perhaps get an MRI as an outpatient. This is hard because I don't even know what the MRI I spent all that time waiting for was for.

I don't know if the other hospital in Springfield is better. I really hope so.

I wanted to thank the nurses and doctor who work the night shift for my daughter’s birth of our first grand baby. They showed the very best kindness, care and professionalism in their chosen profession. They worked as a team to create a place of calmness and respect. Thank you.
