It has been an absolute pleasure to adopt from Peace Of Mind Dog Rescue, it has been a truly remarkable experience. They go above and beyond when it comes to rescuing dogs, especially senior dogs who are often forgotten and passed over. We have been so pleased with the support, empathy, understanding and knowledge that this rescue embodies. A testament of this can be seen throughout, including their fosters who are beyond valuable and a joy to work with. I could not recommend Peace Of Mind Dog Rescue more. There are so many dogs whose stories are incomplete and they just need the right person or family to materialize. Please remember to adopt not shop.

Peace of Mind does incredible work with senior dogs in Monterey County. They are dedicated individuals who have a passion for helping older pups find their forever homes. Not only do they specialize in senior dog rescue, but they also go above and beyond by providing them with the expensive medical care they need to live happy healthy lives. I have witnessed firsthand the transformation that these dogs undergo under the care of Peace of Mind dog rescue. They truly give these older dogs a second chance at a wonderful life, and for that, I am forever grateful.
The people who work at the rescue and clinic are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They treated me so well despite the fact I was at least half an hour or more late to every single appointment at the clinic for Marley and Molly. . They were willing to help me help both dogs. They treat everyone with kindness and respect - and they do it with a smile.
If you are considering adopting a senior dog or supporting a rescue organization, I highly recommend Peace of Mind dog rescue. They are truly a godsend for these deserving animals, and I am so thankful for all that they do. I adopted my little dog on 9/11/24 from Peace of Mind Dog Rescue and couldn't be happier! Emily from POMDR was amazing with all the help, care and questions I was constantly calling her for. The Foster Mom was also amazing with her patience and hard work taking care of my dog until the day I adopted her. These ladies couldn't be nicer and I'm so glad I found POMDR and my little fur baby!

We recently adopted a dog and are happier than we would have thought. Our little man is a little older yes, but he is the sweetest dog I have ever owned. Thank POMDR! Keep up the good work!

Update:
Two years later our sweet little man passed from heart failure. He was an amazing little guy and a much missed figure in our lives. Even though the time was short he made an enormous impact on not just my partner and I but on our whole community. He was much loved and will always be missed.
It doesn't matter if you get two months, two years, or twenty years; these little ones want nothing but to be loved and adored (just like the rest of us).

POMDR does incredible work on the peninsula, helping people and dogs who need it. We got our best from POMDR and they were so helpful and caring the entire time. Their fosters are wonderful people and take wonderful care of the pups. I highly recommend getting your best friend from Peace of Mind and helping a senior dog out!

I recently adopted a senior doggo and Peace of Mind was so great about everything! They were understanding of my circumstances and helped me make it work to meet the doggo (since I lived quite far from the foster family). They were very communicative, friendly, helpful, and so easy to work with. The adoption fees are also incredibly reasonable. When I got my doggo they gave me all the needed supplies to make sure he got a great start in his forever home and I love being able to text the previous foster family his progress! I would definitely adopt from here again in the future.
