I want to express my deepest gratitude Heather Messner and the YMCA of Sierra Madre for their incredible generosity and kindness. After losing my home in the Altadena fire, my heart has been broken, but the support I’ve received from them has filled it with so much love and hope.
They have provided me with clothing, toiletries, and essential necessities that I desperately needed during this difficult time. More than just material aid, their compassion and care have been a source of comfort and strength for me.
Words cannot fully capture how much this means to me. I am incredibly grateful, and I pray that God blesses each and every one of them for the amazing work they are doing to help all of us who have been affected by this tragedy.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Great pool feels nice and refreshing. My one star off is for the showers in the locker room. The shower pressure is really weak and they are sometimes really cold. Also what’s with the random curtains between every few showers. It’s really uncomfortable having to walk into other people’s shower curtains to pass them. I had to share a shower curtain with someone’s kid so it’s just me and their kid naked in an enclosed space. Kinda awkward. Just get rid of the curtains and make it fully communal.

Very nice park for children and dogs. The big dog park gets mud from people running the water too much so then dogs get muddy. The small park dog is great grassy and shady. Children park is great as well and there is always something happening for children to do. Bathrooms are okay I always think they can be better.

If I had the option to not give a star I would. Let me first start by saying this PLACE is HORRIBLE and a FRAUD. I wanted my family to enjoy their summer by swimming in their pools. I paid $80 to become a member with the YMCA since the pools are now with them. They told me to download an app to reserve my spot. The limited was 10 people to swim. It was hard to reserve a spot it was always booked. My family never had a chance to swim in their pools. Decided to cancel my membership and ask for a refund but they refused to reimburse my money. My family didn't even had a chance to swim and enjoyed themselves especially in this hot weather. I work really hard to earn my money to just give money away for free.

The YMCA Sierra Madre is a great place to work out. Great variety of indoor classes and instructors. All classes are indoor now. If your fully vaccinated you don’t need to wear a mask. Friendly helpful staff and clean facilities. They have a no cost vegetable and herb garden for YMCA members only and take donations for the Rose Parade floats for potted plants.

Wonderful place to take classes. All the instructors are great. Not overcrowded. Kelly and Wendy have the best Pilates and Barre classes. I also go to Monrovia Y for classes. The light weights, mats, bands, balls, etc. are much better in Sierra Madre than Monrovia. No locker rooms in Sierra Madre but I don’t use them anyway.

Today is Sunday I went I went in to ask questions about the facility and a very nice young lady thought since they were closed that she could give me a quick tour being that they were closed, but she had to asked her (“so called boss”) he seem to take his job as it identified his mean persona. I’m not sure if makes himself more important than what he is. This man was not very unwelcoming to be a Sierra Madre ymca community center. He is the meanest person I’d ever meant he this town.
