Stayed in this hotel when I visited Mammoth. They have a variety of rooms: regular double bed, single house, apartment style etc. I was staying in the main hotel. There is a fireplace, board games, bar, tables and chair in the lobby area for guest to hangout, eat, or lounge. The lobby also has hot water and coffee available 24/7. It was very cozy in the cold weather. There were often times musician performed live music as well.

Hotel also has steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, pool, outdoor fireplace, and a bar within the hotel. I enjoyed using their steam room. There were towels available outside for guest to use.

Staff is very friendly. I am glad that I stayed here.

Currently staying at Outbound. As we arrived after a long drive we were happy to get to our room. Appearance wise it looked very nice and fresh. However it was an icebox. After an hour of messing with the heaters, we come to realize they aren't working. Our room was 58'. I call the front desk around 10pm, all they can do is bring my family more blankets. The staff who deals with that is gone they said. So we take them and are cold all night.
Here we are day 2. I call again in the morning, they send someone out, the guy is very nice and wants to be helpful, they mess with the heaters and then come check back... to find out the heater obviously still isn't working. He went and found a place to go buy a small heater for us to use. Not one time has management cared about the issue.
Very disappointing, they don't have customer service and clearly are not prepared for these situations. People don't drive hours and spend over $400 a night for a room, that has no heater in the mountains. Love the place but can't support owners or management who don't have customer service. Most of the employees have been very nice though.

I’m not sure how this place has a 3.7 rating. When we arrived, we were given our room, but it was filthy. The sheets were undone, and the room looked like it had been hit by a bomb. After a five-hour drive, this was not the welcome we expected. We went back to the front desk, where they realized that our room had never been cleaned. Surprisingly, there was no apology from the staff—this was the first strike.

Instead of making it right, they gave us another room that was out of commission due to maintenance. That was the second strike. When we entered the new room, we found someone fixing the broken closet door, and a wall hanger was dangling off. At that point, we were too tired to care.

However, the noise from the neighboring room soon became an issue. The walls were paper-thin; we could hear every word from the movie our neighbors were watching—it was Harry Potter, in case you were wondering.

The final straw came when we returned to our room after a day of skiing. It was ice cold—literally an icebox. I called the front desk, and they promised to send someone from maintenance. After waiting 30 minutes with no one arriving, I called again and was assured that maintenance would show up. I called a total of six times, and despite my persistence, no one came. Finally, after making a fuss, a woman from the front desk appeared with a tiny heater that barely worked. This place and the staff, in particular, deserve an F minus.

Big updates in and out from the old Sierra Nevada days. Rooms are clean and comfy. Outdoor area and pool very nice. Biggest gem is the wine bar in the lobby area, wonderful selection and terrific host.

This resort has all of the amenities of a big corporate hotel without any of the stale corporatized decor and energy! Every detail is thoughtful and homey, and everyone who we met at the hotel was wonderful from the guests to the staff! In particular, Chip and Eric were absolutely wonderful! We stopped at the wine bar in the cozy fireplace room for a nightcap, and as wine professionals we were surprised and impressed by the high-caliber wine menu, rivaling any other restaurant in town! Put this wine bar on your list even if you don't end up booking a room -- but, you should absolutely book a room! Also, if you are lucky enough to share a conversation with Eric and Chip - I promise you, meeting them will be the highlight of your trip, as it was ours.

Leslie at the front desk is so wonderful and helpful! All the amenities you could need. Rooms were clean and had the cutest wine bar. Perfect location for shuttle pick up, restaurants, and shops. We look forward to coming back in a couple months.

Great wine bar and lobby atmosphere. The location is central near everything you need and the lobby wine bar evening environment is a great way to unwind and make new friends. Live music and a friendly, outgoing wine director, Chip, make for a perfect end to the day.
