\n\n

Our Towns Habitat For Humanity, located at 121 Norman Station Blvd, Mooresville, NC 28117, stands as a prominent representative of the global Habitat For Humanity movement within the Mooresville community. This local affiliate operates with the core mission inherited from its international parent organization: to provide affordable homeownership opportunities for families in need, alongside inspiring and enabling volunteer-driven action to eradicate substandard housing from the world.

\n\n

Mission and Core Activities

\n\n

The fundamental purpose of Our Towns Habitat For Humanity is to address the critical need for safe and decent shelter. They achieve this primarily through two key avenues: facilitating the construction or purchase of low-cost, energy-efficient homes for qualifying families within their community, and mobilizing volunteers – including homeowners, donors, and supporters – to build homes for families in even greater need, both locally and internationally.

\n\n

Central to their model is the Same Store Same Day fundraising initiative. This program allows supporters to purchase donated building materials, furniture, and other necessities directly from their store, with the understanding that the homeowner will repay the cost of these items over a set period. This approach significantly reduces the overall cost of homeownership, making it accessible to families who might otherwise struggle to secure adequate housing.

My favorite Habitat store, and I have shopped all in our area, and up and down the east coast. Taylorsville's selection and staff are the best ever though. Tammy will make you a customer for life with the level of customer service she provides and Shirley is the sweetest person ever. I don't care how far you have to drive to get here, do it. I promise you won't be disappointed.

We got a Queen size bed frame, headboard, footboard and all the rails for $35! Definitely worth it, we weren't even looking for anything in particular!!

Still a favorite place to go looking for what I don't need. Prices on seasonal items have gone out of my price range. I don't know who is pricing this stuff but hobby lobby beats their price with the 40% off coupon

So today my wife and I went to the restore in Mooresville . This in no way reflects our opinion of the morganton store. So we find a few things we thought were good deals among a lot of things that they were just too proud of. One thing we found was a handmade one of a kind wooden clown bank made in Naples Fl. So we get to the register and she looks at it and sees no price tag so she tells my wife ahe would price it as a collectable, my wife said ok then the clerk shook it and heard something in the bank. She takes it in the office for a minute , where I suspect she got it under a light and saw something in it, and she came back out and said the woman that prices collectables wasn't there, funny she must have been there 5 minutes before because she was going to price it as a collectable. Well I think GREED has hit habitat!!!! I know you people are doing a great thing building houses for less fortunate but NO good will ever come from questionable ethics. And yes I will probably stop there again when I'm in the area, but, I won't be driving 70 miles one way out of my way to go there nor would I recommend anyone else to. SHAME ON YOU RESTORE OF MOORESVILLE

I wanted to go in to the store this morning. The employee at the door said;"Sir, you need to wear a mask to enter." I explained to her that I have a medical condition and was told by my family Dr. that I am exempt. She insisted that I had to wear a mask and offered me one from a open box.Again I explained to her very politely that I am medically exempt. At this point I said I would leave because I shouldn't have to explain my medical condition to a complete stranger in order to gain entry to a store. I don't plan to return again. Habitat should not be able to discriminate against someone with a health issue.

Would have gotten 5 stars were it not for the extremely rude cashier today. Get rid of her and we will certainly be back...thank you to the rest of the restore staff! Again, except for the cashier around 1630 hrs today, at the very least, stick her in the back where she can't interact with the public.
