A nice church with strategic location that was easy to find and access.
The mass was so good.
The church is modern with unique architecture. It is designed with a slight slope towards the altar that allowed people who sat at the back see the altar and follow the mass. This was a pleasant experience better than other churches I have been.
The father was so friendly and welcoming.

Due to a career change and change of leadership at my former church, I took a painful but necessary step of finding a new religious community. I'm happy to say I found my home at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Newport Beach. The location, right off Jamboree near Fashion Island next to Corona del Mar High School is ideal; quiet, clean, and pleasant. The church grounds, both outside and inside, are beautiful and immaculate. There are several extracurricular groups and activities one can easily join to get further involved with the church... But perhaps most of all, the thing that impresses me most are the people. From the moment I expressed interest I felt welcomed, first by Kathy, who kindly introduced herself and got me in touch with the Director of Communications and Music Michael, who then introduced me to Deacon Ken, who all expressed interest in meeting me and hearing about my journey which led me to their parish. Finally, Fathers Paul and Paw are kind and gracious, conducting mass in fidelity to diocese standards, And last but not least Father Steve who shares insightful and entertaining homilies which appropriately facilitate the teaching of that day's readings. I would also like to mention John, who is there to personally welcome me by name every time I enter the church The staff is truly a class act. After nine straight Sundays, I'm very happy to be here. If you are thinking of finding some grounding in an all too tumultuous world, you might find in Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in Newport Beach your spiritual home, as it is now for me.

We booked a wedding here and made down payments on all the vendors in the area only to accidentally find out months later that they decided to remodel the church and it will be under construction during the time we are getting married. We are not even going to have anything that looks like a church but actually a shipping container. We are still not allowed to have a photographer taking pictures from down the aisle even though we are losing an entire approved zone for photography. They never hinted this was a possibility. When booking I made it clear the backdrop of the altar was the single thing that drew us to the church as we coming from out of state. They never mentioned this was on their radar to get rid of the backdrop. When asked why were never notified and why we had to find out by accident when going on their website to look at the music options they stated they thought they called everyone. None of those is acceptable and on top of the nightmare we have dealt with during the marriage prep program this broke my heart.

The on site coordinator does rule with an iron fist. The paid wedding coordinator had to step in and save us.

It's not so big when compared to other churches. It's considered small, but I can't deny the coziness of this place. Looks like it is a very modern place. Beautiful decorations 😍

I love the big fountain ⛲️ in front. You can sit around the fountain before mass. They also have 3 tables and more than 10 chairs in front. There are plenty of parking spots. This is a must.

I'm very grateful to be able to come here over the weekend to attend my nephew 1st communion. Highly recommended if you're somewhere nearby. Come to check it out, you wouldn't be disappointed 😉.

Our Lady Queen of Angels (OLQA) granted us the Catholic Wedding Ceremony we have always prayed for. We were in search for a church where we could celebrate our wedding anniversary mass. My husband and I were wed on August 28, 2020 in a small Catholic ceremony due to COVID. We were not able to have a traditional Catholic ceremony with a mass. We contacted Father Anthony Vu to ask if we may celebrate our anniversary at OLQA. Typically, wedding anniversary masses are only celebrated for milestone weddings (this is the standard for most parishes). However, Father Vu let us celebrate our first wedding anniversary at OLQA. We had always wanted to celebrate our wedding there and we were able to! Kathleen Immel, the wedding coordinator, was so helpful and helped assure that our ceremony went smoothly and was flawless. Dr. Patricia Lamb, the music director, and our cantor, Elizabeth Jones, brought beautiful music to our ceremony. Dr. Lamb also helped us incorporate a Filipino song we requested to be sung by someone from our wedding party. It was the most beautiful ceremony and everything we prayed God for and more. I love this parish and the people are so friendly and welcoming. We have attended mass here outside of our wedding anniversary and it is a wonderful community. I recommend anyone looking for a church for their wedding to be wed here.
