I tried to support your Chicken BBQ yesterday, but you had an angry looking, unwelcoming group of people there. I didn't get a smile, a welcome to our church not or even a can I help you from anyone. I really did want a hot meal and to donate to the cause. Perhaps your congregation doesn't like old, dark skinned men with long hair? Christians?

One gentleman told me thank you for directing his infant out of the parking lot back to him, as he was calling her back to the Family.

There's a hollow feeling inside this church that's difficult to explain. Where there is usually a warm presence of love within places of worship, this one always seems cold and empty, even when the pews are full. Speaking of the pews, they aren't the worst, but neither are they very comfortable. I felt fortunate to discover another Catholic Church less than 10 miles south, St. Anthony's in Mendocino, where the pews were even worse but that warm presence inside was immediately palpable. The music was much better there too, provided you prefer traditional pipe organ accompaniment like me.

As a visitor, the priest (who is moving in Oct '21) was very caring. Loved the message/sermon and people. Not a huge parish, slightly conservative but open. I liked it and would come again!

The church is small and indeed does have a cold and hollow feeling to it but it also has something very special about it. It is hard to explain but once you hear the music something comes over. I rated 5 because I have a very special memory of this place and I was treated kindly here. I hope everyone gives it a chance.
