Compassionate, non-judgmental, helpful,and kind. One of 2 food banks in Portage County (interfaith is the other one), they also supply some necessary household items that you can’t buy with your FoodShare card such as shampoo, toiletries, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent. Select from the rack of day-old breads from local supermarkets and check out what mystery items are in the main lobby’s. Take what you need, and speak a blessing in your way out the door. Generosity is a two-way street, so when karma offers you a chance to repay, smile and remember the good people that work at Operation Bootstrap.

Very helpful. Very kind. Everyone that volunteers or works there have been extremely helpful when times have been rough. They help with food, work clothes, jobs services, and other things upon referral from energy service. Highly recommend especially if you need a little help.
