I joined open the world couple years ago. Ever since then I have met new people, gotten out of my comfort zone, and joined a welcoming community. I have been able to further my career and am proud to be part of the community.

My name is Sean and I met jeannine when she and her group joined my tour.
I meet tourists from all over the world from my work but jeannine is the defenitely the most wonderful person I have ever met.
I was so touched by her work that I signed up to volunteer.
I strongly hope that everyone will support her work.

Last month, with 3 weeks to orchestrate a precarious life transition, without the means, support, or a place to go, I fell into a debilitating CPTSD freeze state. Ruminating in distortions, I was too dissociated to recognize, or communicate the need for help. I wondered if, at 76, my relevancy had expired. A friend tried connecting me to a friend of his, for moving referrals, but I couldn’t make that call. Fortunately, that friend of his was Jeannine Curley, and she had no intention of giving up on me, so she called me. After a few minutes of listening to my stammering, trying to explain anything at all, she recognized exactly what was going on, and jumped right in. She told me to just pick a date, and she'd handle the rest of the move. I cried; I was relevant to her. As promised, Jeannine handled every detail. I had the pleasure of meeting 2 amazing young men from her OTW organization, on the day of my move. They were gracious, efficient, and did a perfect job of handling the entire move and brightening my day.
I hadn’t know Jeannine, or anything about OTW before she called. Since then, I’ve been learning how Jeannine's vision, and essential love has been changing lives all over our world. "Essential love acts by its mere presence. The essential aspect of love can present sometimes without overt action ... action is not necessary for the experience. When essential love is present, then it's in our nature. We are present.” Thank you, Jeannine.

I can’t say enough positive things about this organization! Jeannine has literally saved the lives of many of the youth I work with. If you know anyone who is in need of community, support, guidance, and fellowship, OTW is the place for them. Thank you Jeannine and OTW for making a difference in the lives of so many.

Opening the World has been a great experience ever since I joined.

In Opening the World I was able to met some of my closest friends. This community has provided me with a safe place to express myself and learn more about others and myself.

Opening the World has been great for me and the community.
It has helped me during various struggles in my life and also provided me with much knowledge that has helped me elevate personally and socially.

I am happy with how much it has grown and hope to see it continue to grow and help others as much as it helped me.

When I think about Opening the World, the words self worth, empowerment, community, safe space, support, caring and change come to mind. My daughter and I had an opportunity to spend the day with Jeannine and her group when they were visiting Canada. We learned about the program and listened to their stories which were very impactful. The youth in this program have overcome so many obstacles and barriers, but still show up trying to make a difference in their lives and others less fortunate than themselves. It is truly inspiring to hear their stories of how this program has changed their lives and I hope some of them read this review because I am so proud of them and the hard work they are doing and want them to know that my daughter is on a humanitarian trip right now because of the impact you made by sharing your stories. ❤️

Opening The World is an excellent program that I have seen help many young adults improve their lives. I personally observed it inspire and transform its participants since I had the privilege of being involved with it over the years. I have volunteered, participated and traveled with them which has been very rewarding. Its founder and Director Jeannine has worked passionately and tirelessly giving herself to this program and young adults which is why it has been so successful. This program makes a huge contribution to our youth and community!

I have been a participant with Opening The World since it has formed an all I can say is that this community of individuals have dramatically transformed my life in many ways. I had been faced with many adversities such as severe traumas, drug addiction, lack of family life structure as well as being in and out of the legal system. Opening The World has provided a safe place for me, welcomed me with open arms and provided resources such as vocational training, emotional wellness groups, educational and spiritual retreats. I have even had the opportunity to travel the world a few times, learn about different cultures and ways to be of service internationally AND locally. I am now a productive member of society and own my own business due to the help and support of this program/community. I cannot express my appreciation enough for this group and will remain forever grateful.
