This is my 2nd time to visit Solvang and the Mission. This time we had more time to explore it and walk through the stations of the cross. We also found out that there is a rose garden here. I think most of the Missions have rose gardens so you better check it out. They have really interesting rose varieties. The Mission sells souvenir items, rosary beads, postcards and pendants too.

We found a quiet place and sat in one of the benches facing the fields. It was a nice place to visit.

This was a beautiful place to visit after spending all day in Solvang. The church was closed due to a private event but the “healing garden” and the property itself was wonderful to explore.

Although I am not Catholic (I am a born-again Christian), I was able to appreciate the rich history here

Absolutely incredible views from the parking lot of the mission. I was so amazed by the sights and sounds. I didn’t want to leave. See photos and videos for proof, if you are in the area it’s recommended that you stop here. You can see beautiful valley views in the morning with crisp morning dew covering the valley. It’s mystifying and beautiful

A beautiful Catholic mission to visiti the area. It's a part museum part historical site. The valley view from the parking lot is stunning. It's a very peaceful place and not very crowded.

Beautiful historical mission with an expansive lot. Morning walks are worth making with lots of views of the natural Solvang region.

Weekday service was wonderful and very communal. You may get to meet a number of friendly and admirable locals. Got to meet Fr Peter as well during mass who is a blessing to his community as well as frequent parishoners.

The mission is truly an oasis of serenity and care that is reflective of the unique Solvang charm and hospitality. If ever I would revisit this area I'd make it a point to always pass through the mission.

Beautiful old church. Glad I stopped by. The surrounding area is beautiful as well, it has great views of the landscape. There are many rooms that have artifacts and information, so plan to spend some time here appreciating everything if you are interested in this kind of stuff.
