A nice YMCA north of LA. It seems a little dated and could use a uplift. It is definitely a plus that there is a basketball court and right next to it ia the main weight room. The staff is super friendly. Early mornings are not busy at all.

such a friendly place. it's a true haven for families with small kids. lots of classes for kids and child center. there are many classes for adults but I mostly enjoy the indoor pool

While the Y may be slightly more expensive than membership at a big box gym, you won't find a cleaner and well -kept gym, nor a place as friendly for adults or families. The facilities here are quite nice, with not only two pools, three fitness rooms and lockers both by gender and non-gender specific. The staff are super helpful and friendly, and there is plenty of parking.

The North Valley YMCA is a hidden gem/gym. Rarely crowded, lots of equipment and two pools. You need to reserve pool time but I've never had an issue booking a time. Friendly helpful staff.
