I am super disappointed in this program, I have a family member there and they were literally attacked by another program member. Not only did they not ask for her side of the story, or even see if she was okay. They refused to talk to her and listen to anything she had to say, instead they drug tested her. Then treat her like the black plague, and literally watched her struggle to get water in her water bottle without even asking if she needed help. I do give it to her counselor and the intake supervisor, they checked on her and listened and even saw the proof that this woman attacked her FOR NO REASON, all because she was angry that other people used her in the past! This place is meant to keep people safe and instead you do the complete opposite. Shame on you "counselors" and "van drivers" Bill and Irma you will reap what you sow, and to treat someone like that without knowing the truth shows how one sided this place truly is.

This program is a joke. My family member went here. There is ALOT of drugs in this program. No structure. People leave and are allowed to come back even after giving positive drug test results. Just don't go here. Clown show

One of the newer counselors. Vanessa. Is constantly missing work. She posts on Facebook all day long complaining about Serenity House and begging for money. She wants money for bioidentical hornones. Her friend nominated her for Hometown Hero in Oceanside. What a joke as she is being sued for back rent for a property she had her “clients” living. Funny how the month(s) she owed rent she went on a vacation
To Hawaii and rented a red convertible. I don’t know how she ever gets any work done or helps anyone with never working. I would not want her as my

DO NOT waste your time/money at the North County Serenity House at 1341 Escondido Blvd. They are VERY unpleasant and unprofessional. You deserve to be treated humanely. The only thing good their is the food prepared by Dani.

This establishment gave me the opportunity to fully work on focusing on my addiction. Gave me the tools, and time to hone in on what I needed, to heal, and to grow as the person I am. I'm so grateful to have had this experience. I took advantage of my time spent there to rekindle my love for myself and the women who struggled around me. It was a daunting thought to even enter those gates full of women. But well worth building and growing to the best of my ability. I had the support to nuture that. I pray that if anyone needs a safe space to focus on their recovery that they would take advantage of this place. Learn to love yourself enough to be there and conquer your fears and get that life you deserve! For the record, this is what you make of it, as it is in all life's situations. Focus on practicing that when you enter here.

I graduated from here in the early 2000's. I will always remember it as the best rehab facility I ever entered. They treat you like a human being, you are not disrespected, you are encouraged to have a job, attend outside AA meetings, you are allowed to have overnight visits on the weekends. The rooms are only 3 ladies per room and in a place that was a hotel, when not busy with classes or groups you are allowed a great deal of freedom. No place I was ever in compared to this women's recovery home. It was so great being treated like a decent human being and not an inmate!! Like I said, I graduated so I was there over a year-?

Horrible place. Too many drugs. Inconsistent rules and policies. Do not recommend for anyone truly looking to recover

Sadly, I was dismissed. I called simply to offer donations of products, clothing, and time if they wished for it. I left two voicemails before I realized I was being dismissed before they ever spoke to me. I offered the items elsewhere. Nobody likes to be dismissed.

When you are a nonprofit that relies on donations, gee I have an idea: have the common courtesy to call the person back, even if you don’t want their volunteer work. I’m sure the food and hygienes would have gone far for the women residing there, but nooooooo I couldn’t get a simple courtesy response. That’s okay, there are plenty of other places that acknowledged me. And plenty receiving my help.
