This is the worst social security administration office in the United States. The staff members in this facility are maliciously messing with customers paperwork and documents. They send you a letter in the mail asking for additional information and that someone will call on a specific time and date, however they NEVER CALL YOU. When you go in person they tell you the same thing again, that to expect a call from them. This happened on multiple occasions. The staff members here are extremely unprofessional and have very nasty and disgusting behavior towards all customers. This facility needs to be investigated by the FBI

I give the Bronx Social Security Office on the Grand Concourse a complete thumbs down because they never answer the phone and they send me letters to call to verify my address and I can never get through so I'm calling the 800 number which I've been doing for the last month. Shame on the Bronx Grand Concourse Workers they should be fired.

Bronx-like service for Bronx residents.

If you want results, this ain’t the office for you to go! I’d suggest Williams Street in lower Manhattan or the suburbs. Went in for an update, and a lady was tending about 5 windows. Perhaps that’s why she made the mistake that’s stalled me for an additional month of paperwork. Went down to Williams Street, got the information I needed, every window had an agent and my issue was taken care of.

In closing: Bronx-like service, sass and all, for Bronx residents. Why?! Don’t ask me! Oh, and ironically, Bronx residents who happen to work in City or Suburban SS offices, don’t want other Bronxnites in their midst… Remember in NYC, every public employee, whether state, local or federal, is their own supervisor and will tell you things like:
“Well, you need to go to the SS in your zipcode.”
If that’s so, shouldn’t you work in the SS office in your boro?!

The worse SS Office to go to. You have to wait forever. i have requested to speak with a supervisor 3 times and I still have yet to see a supervisor. Waited all day and Window 17, Ms.Miguel gave me false information. Therefore I had to come back another day and wait all over again! The staff is incompetent and rude. They need to train their staff better and have more accessible supervisors. This office needs to improve or be shut down because they are useless and will waste your time!

I been trying to change my MR.to Miss for the last year. I called three time on April, May & June of 2021. I was reassured that Medicare changed my title so that my family doesn't have any problems when I'm gone. I called Medicare on 3/2022 and they haven't received the request from SSA. I been on hold for an hour now, I am very disappointing.

If you need to replace, get a new card or update information like if your birthday is wrong on SSA system then this is not the place. The right location is the 820 grand concourse location. I came here and wasted my time but the security helped me find the right place.
