Did the shorter 4 day/ 3 night trip coming from Australia for a taster of the Amazon. Had no idea what to expect but now wish we stayed longer. It was really the perfect trip for someone who is looking for some excitement, unpredictably and not knowing what you’re going to see. Our guide Milton A. was superb and his ecology knowledge was welcomed. Our community guide Mariano was delightful and one of the origin
members of the community to start this lodge. We saw over 40 different animals and endless plants. But the highlight was immersing ourselves in the Amazon’s beauty, unpredictability and nature. Highly recommended experience.

Brought a sweet baby possum that my cat brought to my front door, uninjured and in fake-out sleep shock mode. I held him for an hour and he woke up biting and protecting himself but then slept for like 4 hours, exhausted I'm sure from the ordeal. He definitely grew on me and I even got him formula and veggies but I wasn't sure I could raise him, even though I know they can be great pets just like a dog or cat. I just hope they don't euthanize them as they can carry rabies. I don't want to know, I'm afraid to research any further because that lil guy already stole my heart. They may have and if it happens again I'll raise the sweetheart as my pet. My bro in law was upset that I didn't keep lil Roscoe, yes I named him. By the way he could have been a sweet girl but I'm going purely off of attitude. Of course, maybe a girl would have also. Anyway, long winded way of saying, I regret taking the sweet baby and honestly, given the chance I'll try to be a daddy. That's just me being who I am and I truly believe this establishment is a blessing. They do rehabilitate animals in need and there are not enough establishments like this around. They rely alot on donations I'm sure, the state will never allocate enough for them as the number of actual establishments will attest. Please, if you're an animal lover or even if you want to donate to an absolutely selfless beautiful cause, donate to places like this. God Bless!!

We found a dove that had been attacked by a hawk and was in okay shape other than it's wing was injured. Many places won't take them because they are considered domestic, but these folks did and didn't dismiss our concern.

Very friendly staff. I brought them a young injured turkey that I found in my back yard. Easy to find. Nice and peaceful surrounded by vineyards.
