I have done all my certifications with Naos (101, 103 & 104) and highly highly recommend! Not only do they have a beautiful fleet of well maintained and new boats to learn on, you can book your courses or charters online which makes everything so easy and clear. The instructors are top notch - I’ve learned from both Paul and Lori and felt really well prepared to pass each time. Everyone at Naos is so kind and very responsive as well, it truly feels like a family each time I come back. Trust me - this is the best place to go in Marina Del Rey!

We just finished Naos Yachts' Bareboat Chartering course & Cruising Catamaran course and had a fantastic time!
Naos Yachts was super-helpful with the arrangements and even offered to let me spend the preceding night on the vessel to save the hotel expense.
The Catamaran we used was great, the instructor (Lori) was great, and the scenery and wild life were fantastic!
We will be back to bareboat charter with them very soon!

We had a great experience with Naos! My partner and I took the ASA101 course last weekend and would recommend them to anyone. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly and instructor Alex, who is a high school teacher during the week, did a great job covering a ton of information over the two, 8-hour sessions.

One thing that set Naos apart for us was their fleet. Coming into the class with some informal dinghy sailing under our belts, we were specifically looking for a place where we could experience how a larger boat differs (motoring, maneuvering in tight spaces, using a winch, etc.). The boat we learned on was a 31' Beneteau Oceanis which was perfect for what we were looking for.

The other factor for us was the 1-day rental included with the class so you can get out and reinforce what you've learned. If your ambition is to progress though the rest of the ASA classes and eventually charter, Naos can offer those classes and have a number of rentals that would allow you to progressively step up the size of the boats you are renting. They also offer a membership program that entitles you to a number of days per month which would be ideal for a local looking to rack up hours on the water quickly.

The only thing I would caution is that if learning on a larger boat like we did, you will get the most out of the class if you have some past sailing experience and have read through the ASA101 book (included with the class). There's a lot of material covered in two days so being able to move quickly through the basics will allow you to get the most out of your time.

I took the ASA 101 and 103 back to back with Paul as the instructor for both classes and had an amazing time. The classes were small, just two students in the 101 and I got lucky for the 103 and it was just me. Four full days on the water turned me into a far more confident and knowledgeable sailer. I would highly recommend classes here and would love to have a chance to take the 104 with Naos.

My wife and I did an ASA-104 with Naos Yachts in March 2023. The course was arranged wonderfully by Naos' team.
We come all the way from Singapore and had to make very complicated and accurate travel plans. With Naos team being understanding and flexible, all worked perfectly for us.
The coach chosen for our course was a very expert sailor and he was an amazing captain and teacher. We learnt a lot from this experience.
The sailing vessel used for the course was also a spotless new 38 feet mono-hull, we were very comfortable onboard.

Overall, we had a 5 stars experience, and definitively recommend Naos Yachts for your sailing journey!

Great weekend on the 104/114 cruise. Great boat. Our instructor Paul was on top of everything the candidates threw at him. He made it look easy and fun. I can only recommend Naos and Paul!
