Driving through town, and I decided to stop here to pray dhuhr. I walk inside and apparently they were having an “open mosque” day to teach the public about Islam. Cool, except that there was endless free mixing. I just wanted to pray in peace, but instead the prayer hall was surrounded with men and women, hanging out and chatting casually. It was extremely uncomfortable so I went to pray in my car in the parking lot instead. As I’m walking out, I grab my shoes and there’s more free mixing in the lobby.

What kind of masjid is this? Having an “open mosque event” isn’t an excuse to casually hang out with one another so freely and openly.

Doors we’re locked and no way to pray. Went at 7:30 to pray and sunset was 8:20pm. I have issues when Masjid’s are locked. Ended up praying on sidewalk out front. I was a traveller when writing this review.
