Very interesting and informative! We learned a lot about so many things. And the art gallery is amazing! I would have loved to have seen some of the live reenactments they do outside but time wouldn’t allow since we were just traveling through.

What an incredible place! There is so much history and interesting facts throughout the museum. My father loved this place, and now we do, too. Don't miss the wonderful displays they have downstairs. We couldn't go home without a skunk pelt, a beaver tail, and a Jackalpe! The gift shop has something for everyone.

An exceptional museum. Its unique focus on the mountain men and their challenges and hardships reveal a chapter of US history that many are unaware of. Children will love learning this history which also includes the Native Americans. Excellent panoramic pictures as well as historic paintings bring this time period to life.

Worth the visit. They have an informational video about the Mountain Men that is 20 min long. A huge collection of old rifles from the 1800's, authentic trapping gear, leather and felt clothing. Lots of information on original fur trappers and the rendezvous they went to.
