Murdy Park and Community Center is a large 16.04-acres park settled near neighborhoods. There is decent parking, a community center building, a playground area and a handful of amenities surrounded by an all grassy area.

The playground area is rather large sand area with rubber matting at the landings of the 2 newest playground units, with swings! 2 for infants and 2 full sized swings.

The older red/ blue/ beige playground structures are surrounded by sand and intended for ages 2-5 and another for 5-12 years old. Both structures offer slides and stairs to run along. The playground structure intended for 5-12 years old offers some climbing ladders, monkey bars, 2 slides, an off-center spiral pole and Fireman Pole. There is also swings with 2 for infants and 2 full sized swings.

In that same space is another, more modern playground unit, with many climbing and twirling components aged 5-12 years old. This unit is teal and red and has a beanstalk ladder, monkey bars and more.

Finally apart from the other unit the last of the playground structures is a large brown/green unit intended for ages 2-12 years old. There is a long ramp but it too has stairs to get to slides and the majority of the playground.

Clean tennis courts but two courts out of the four are mentioned to be under construction.

Child tennis lessons for the summer from morning until 1 pm. June 24 to aug 15 2024

Seems pickleball court lines are not placed on tennis courts.

Pickleball lines are taped on the basketball courts and can only be used when basketball doesn't have reservations during the summer.

Reservations after 730 pm are not filled, likely available for pickleball then

This skate park is so bad it's good. It's so crusty it's essentially a street spot. I enjoyed the curb running around the perimeter the most and the little banks.

It hurts me to know we are just covering all the good memories and fields we have in this fine city. I grew up in this country and I remember about 40 or 50 other boys running our hearts out on this field to try to make try outs for the Huntington Beach dolphins. And now there taking the memories and totally building over them. Why do we need more courts and more building that will eventually fall one way or another. Trees never grow ugly like man made materials. This park was beautiful the way it was.
Kids need fields to run and play what ever games or sports they choose. Not ones our parents or society wants.

This park is huge! It has a community center the provides classes, basketball courts with lights, softball/ baseball fields, tennis courts, playground, and is currently under construction to add a proper well light soccer field! Plenty of free parking, dog friendly, and public restrooms!
