very grateful for this spot. I love that it's locally owned and not commercial. the staff is very friendly and everyone who goes pretty much keeps to themselves, it creates a comfortable environment. plus it stays super clean which is a huge plus. 👍🏻

I’ve been to a lot of gyms and fitness centers around the U.S and overseas, and Mountain Fitness is hands down my favorite! They have a good variety of free weights, machines, and resources to get some great workouts in. Staff are friendly, owners are cool, and the gym family here is legit. It’s hard to find a good privately owned gym in a world full of corporate mega chains. The vibe is good, and the atmosphere is healthy. 10/10 would recommend.

Gets the job done. Dropped in today for a workout after arriving in Mariposa. Was lucky to catch a staff person shortly before they left at 6pm to pay for the day pass (worked out for 1 hour). Plenty of machines, free weights and cardio machines. Not crowded at all.
Price for the day pass is just a bit too much for what you get and high in relation to their monthly membership rate ($20 vs $65). That's why it is an overall 3/5. Decent but not exceptional (compared to other gyms with a similar drop-in fee).

I finally joined a gym and the owner, Jenni Kiser, is a true gem. She is very enthusiastic about health and even though she seems to have a dozen jobs she takes the time to help me get going and works me until I am exhausted, and she does it with a cute smile on her face and loves it. It’s a small town gym that is well equipped and everyone is helpful. I never thought I would love going to a gym again but I look forward to going and leave happy…and exhausted.

The individuals that work here are very rude. I had a membership here about 2 years ago, and messaged them through instagram to cancel my membership. They did. I renewed my membership about 3 months ago and messaged them again on instagram to cancel it and they refused to do so. As someone who works in the hospitality industry here in mariposa, and lives here in mariposa and coached varsity boys soccer here at Mariposa Highschool, the treatment I’ve experienced has been other worldly. They are refusing to refund me my money when, though I have not been there in over 2 months. As someone who lives off of tips it’s hard enough to keep above water in the winter time, yet here they are sucking the life out the locals. A shame. They seem to only care about money and not the individual. Unfortunate. Will not be returning to mountain fitness

Nice gym with all the basics needed. The owners and staff are following guidelines to keep a safe and clean operation. The trainers are really nice and knowledgeable. It's a good place to workout for whatever stage you're in in your fitness journey.

The gym staff is amazing, motivating & willing to help with anything! The owner is there on a daily basis, making the gym feel more welcoming and personable. You have 24/7 access with an affordable membership and key card, making it easier, more accessible and adaptable to your own scheduele. The classes are fantastic , including silver sneakers, cycling, etc. And the range of equipment in the gym will cover every muscle group you could ever want to work on. Its fantastic & i wouldnt dream of going anywhere else.

Very wonderful gym! most people keep to themselves, and i personally felt very safe as a plus size woman. had a wonderful time working out, and i’m excited to make this apart of my weekly schedule!
