I go to Moreno Valley Senior Center on Fir St,, because I am finally old enough to be a card carrying member (to. use the facility).
They have Majong, Dominoes, card games, billiards, arts & crafts.
On certain days of the month there's medical clinics that come in to help us old folks who can't get out, as often as we would like, because of disabilities, etc.
It is a good place to meet other senior citizens for comradery and to make new friends too.
I will be 59 years old in February, so I'm actually, one of the youngest senior members, makes me feel younger than I am.
The Center provides lunch for everyone, but, in my case it costs $9.95 a plate, so I eat elsewhere or bring my own food. They have a large supply of snack foods too, these cost $1.25 a piece, (everything from candy to healthy, low sodium, juice's, soda's, w bottled waters, etc.
It's an enjoyable, easy going and safe atmosphere the Center provides it's seniors.
Before I forget, the Center has a computer lab too, that's where I spend most of my time.

Just to let you know L.a.fitness offers free memberships to seniors. They have really fun water aerobic class 5 mornings a week from 9-10 a.m. I go every day the people in the pool are so nice . The class is so fun . You move at your own pace.

It has free cardio and adjustable resistant exercise equipment in a private room. The people are friendly and there is always someone to talk to if you are willing to be friendly.
If you wish to participate in lunchtime with company, it is available for a donation. All kinds of games, classes in what might interest you, bingo, group entertainment, musical exercise classes, and more.

I go their three times a week. all though it has had staff change which I'm very unhappy about .The new staff seems to be okay so far although I've heard from others that they think they cater more towards the Spanish people. as long as I feel safe there it's okay with me.the only complaint that I have is that the parties that they have is always in the afternoon I have to leave by twelve because I have to be on my breathing machine by one .so therefore I miss all the parties no one seems to care . which makes me feel bad .like they don't care about my feelings.and that my friends hurt a whole lot because I have been going to the center since I was fifty I am now seventy will be seventy one sept.fifth.

I've only been a member since about March 2019, I think. I've joined a Weight Loss group and take a yoga class. I did a few sessions of Zumba but found that's not in my wheelhouse, but they have a HUGE group that actively enjoy that class. So much fun, I'm just not "dance" oriented.

The office staff are pleasant and helpful, there's plenty of parking, and it's handicapped accessible. They have many activities, classes, special occasions, guest speakers and getaways to a casino and possibly other places that should spark an interest for just about anyone. There's even a small gym and a billiards room.

The other members there seem to be very friendly. There are many ability levels and the activities teachers are well aware people have limitations and support that.

There is a MoVal van and/or Dial-a-Ride, if you qualify, that can take you there for a small fee should you not have a way to get there.

The facilities are clean. They serve a lunch that is based on $3 donations, if you can afford it. As a former Special Education Intructional Assistant I was thrilled to see Adults with developmental delays assisting during lunch and in Zumba.

You can be a member at age 50 but I felt I was too young then. When I retired early I decided to check it out at age 59 and was sad that I waited so long! It is a vibrant and actively used facility!

I don't have photos but The Moreno Valley Senior Center has a Facebook page where you can find photos. Go give it a visit in personand see all it has to offer!
