Recently at an event I overheard the new Pres/CEO, N. Monica Lal speaking negatively about a member. The member donates generously of their time and expertise. As a long standing member I found this to be offensive. In addition, on the few occasions I have reached out regarding a request such as advertising it is difficult to get a response via phone or email. I find her communication style to be rude, and unprofessional, and it seems she is looking down her nose at everyone who is not a board member. She is lacking in customer service, which is unfortunate because the leadership in years past seemed to value the members and customer service. On the couple of occasions I have interacted with Kasey and Morgan I found them to be quite pleasant. Hoping for some positive change with our local Chamber.

DO NOT STAY AT THE ECONOLODGE AT 2042 NORTH FREMONT STREET, MONTEREY NEAR THE FAIRGROUNDS. IT IS DIRTY, RUN DOWN, BROKEN FIXTURES AND APPLIANCES, NO WORKING SMOKE DETECTOR. THE LIST CAN GO ON. THIS MOTEL SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE HEALTH BUREAU FOR INSPECTION. THE BUILDING SHOULD BE LEVELED. AAA AND AARP SHOULD BE NOTIFIED OF ITS LIABILITIES.
