There are noisy individuals near the computers, and the teenagers who frequent the area use very rude language. This issue has been raised with the staff on several occasions. Some sections of the library are meant to be quiet so others can read or do their activities without disturbance.

This place is great and so is the staff, they are very helpful. Books and so much more! You can make copies, use the computers, with headsets available and even small rooms where one could interview live without anyone listening or having that background noise. They also have events for kids, general public. The place is just a great atmosphere with perfect natural lighting and of course very comfortable.

Awesome library! I've been here a little over a year and I should've come here long before now. I was surprised at the beauty of it ...and the staff is great. They explain things clearly and down to the kindergarten level if needed. ... like I needed. I was not thinking that Minot would have such a large and nice facility. I was thinking small town quaint. Not log cabin but a smaller facility than what they have. Just makes me like Minot more.

Went for the book sale, it was free will donation. They had story time for kids and took my 2.5yr old and she loved it. Awesome section for kids and a very nice library over all. Everyone working there were smiling and I felt like they were genuinely friendly.

The Minot Library is a really great place. It's friendly spacious and has lots of activities for young children. The only problem I have is that they do not check their outdoor deposit box. I returned all my daughters books using the deposit box in the morning. I admit I was just not in the mood to fight the car seat battle. It was my first time using the Minot Library deposit box and it's probably going to be the last time I ever got to the library. Not only did they not check the deposit box an hour before closing, they clearly did not check the deposit box for a week. I find that out the hard way when I had to pay a weeks worth of children's books racked in late fees! The ironic thing about the situation is I wasn't the only parent ranging in annoyed to anger at the fact they had to pay between $10 to $30 in late fees for books that were checked in on time.

When I tried to call to ask when exactly do they check the box the person on the phone made excuses saying that it was my fault for not bringing the books on time. They were checked in a week late which I am responsible for. Mind you I don't mind that I paid only $9.80 in late fees I just wanted to make sure it didn't happen again. If you're not going to check the deposit box for an entire week, you should either make a sign that says quite clearly that this box is not checked regularly or wave the fees for those who are being responsible. Since the person on the phone was so rude I just paid for a monthly children's subscription for my daughter. Within Owlcrate Jr. we don't have to worry about late fees.

Lovely old library building, set up to be so comfortable to hang out in. Love their selection of DVDs, their children's book section is cute, staff is helpful, and their assortment of books are much wider than I expected from a small town library! Truly love spending time here.

I like their cozy mystery section. I enjoy doing their summer reading programs. I look forward to the summer reading program each year. The staff is very helpful. When I go I use the computers and check out books.
