Theses people are definitely not helping. It's almost as if they make sure you do not get approved for a home. The workers in the building have complete bad attitudes and is totally nasty to people that is trying to purchase a home. I applied to purchase a home twice and both times it was something different that denied me from the purchase. When I asked questions about the denial they gave me dumb excuses or no excuse at all. So i decided to go thru another program and I explained to them what happened with this program and stated to me that I was definitely able to purchase a home.

Be very careful purchasing appliances. They told me that my Refrig was brand new. $1,500. Once I brought it home and plugged it in we found water in the line (it wasn’t new someone had returned it already and they sold it to me) the main board had several error codes that could not be reset.
It needed service.
I paid my delivery guy to return it to the store. I explained to the staff that it wasn’t working correctly.
I was refunded. Right as I was walking out the door an older employee name Dave saw the Refrig and said,,, I can’t refund the person that brought this in.
I said too late!!!
Then I said you told me that it was new and it’s not. He said well it has a warranty.
I said no thanks.
He had planned to stick me with it and keep my money. That’s not good business.
Be very careful when purchasing.
They are kind before they take your money and unfriendly if you need to bring it back.

Habitat for Humanity of Milwaukee has been an amazing partner for my insurance agency, Elevated Insurance. We routinely organize groups of people to volunteer locally, and Habitat is beyond professional with setting expectations, being flexible, and always making our teams feel welcome.
The impact this program makes is way bigger than a home to live in. Habitat often reduces family's housing expense while helping them build equity, form a community that watches out for each other, and allows kids to stay in the same schools month in and month out increasing literacy, increasing graduation rates, and taking our city back from the slum lords of Milwaukee.
Habitat, is a 5 star, world class organization.

A social service agency paid for a non working stove. The list price was 565. It came with no knobs or burner covers so I was asked to buy them. I did I buy 5 knows and 3 burner plates over $300 and now I still don't have a working stove. I checked on line and it's either the ignitor or fuse I don't know which. Aren't they supposed to sell stuff that works. That over $300 is alot with a gross income of 1299

I had high hopes for this program, but it left me disappointed. They no longer have a physical location and rarely respond to emails. I submitted all of my information and was told they would respond in a few weeks. Unfortunately, they waited months and told me to resubmit everything. That was not only unprofessional but very inconsiderate of my time.
