Great place to live for the most part. Extreme HOA or liberal people stopping to photo peoples front and even back of others' property to report everyone is ridiculous, and those people act more like a dictatorship. The schools are split in the neighborhood, but as we go to the further away, less nice schools, we still pay some of the highest taxes in Waxhaw. I am looking into how to vote out the school board, making these stupid decisions. This includes voting for a different party for the county if things are not fixed soon. Pot holes in downtown for over a year. 1 small project at the downtown park has taken over a year, leaving an unsafe construction area in a park.

Clubhouse and playground nice. Beautiful areas around bridge and clubhouse. Lovely community with access to the Carolina Thread Trail, near a soccer park, and has neighborhood trails as well.

While I found the amenities enjoyable in my nearly 8 years living in Millbridge, the HOA and many of the neighbors negated any positives. The 3000+ sq ft homes are on postage-stamp lots, so there's no ignoring anybody. While there were a few good neighbors, many seemed to be playing keeping up with the Joneses and were very cliquish. While that's easy enough to dismiss, I could walk out on my back patio and see nearly 40 other homes, making any privacy impossible. The HOA will not allow you to have a well-kept gazebo in your back yard, while your neighbor can have a dilapidated swingset that has vegetation overtaking it and install chicken wire on the fence so that his matted dog can stay outside and bark all day. When that neighbor finally moved, the home was rented to a large family who did their laundry in the garage and faced the wastewater drain toward my home. While all of these issues were dealt with in their own way, many would not have been a problem had there been a little more space between homes. Its proximity to Uptown Charlotte was also a near-daily burden for me. While I hope my experiences are in the minority, Millbridge is not a place I would recommend to move to.

Super great community. Plenty to do and a great pool and family area with covered basketball courts weight room pool area with lap pool splash zone and lazy river. Not to mention the community house.

Seems to be a nice neighborhood. The pool is awesome! They have a great place for littles to play that includes slides and a dumping bucket.
