If you have a choice don’t move to merced for probation. This place needs to be investigated for neglect and entrapment. None of the officers communicate and will make mistakes then try to violate the probationees for them. They’re super unprofessional, unreasonable and don’t want anyone to actually succeed. They only care about the paycheck they’re receiving.

The department of Merced probation. Had some changes. In probation officers. The first one was a woman probation officer. She directed me to a group regarding skills and credits. A different probation officer then replaced her name Juan Maldonado the officer then. Had referred me to a different department. I had then received difficulty and had to have emergency service and was medevac flight from Merced county to Modesto county to receive medical service. Medical emergency surgery on iliac artery. Because I could not leave the county without direct information to the probation officer at that time they decided to do a violation of probation. I could not go against the doctor's practice. The doctor wasn't currently available it was a medevac flight. Also one thing that was a bit peculiar about that particular probation officer is he did not seem to know the difference between his left and right hand. The officer seem to have suspicion as to whether I was selling medicine. Which the medicine had no actual street value anyway, and could violate me because I had emergency surgery. The probation officer had read me of my rights and said I had to attend court. Although it did not state the reason for the arrest. I did go to court. And was kept or detained for quite some time without contact a follow-up surgery. And then he asked what he thought one doctor may or may not do. And it was stated earlier that I could not base things upon third party information, I said I don't know for sure. Isn't that violation of third party information and technically hearsay you're asking me to make a statement that would violate the terms of law and probation. I still don't know exactly why I had been detained it wasn't stated except that I had em emergency surgery and loss of contact during that time, Juan Maldonado the deputy is a very common name. On Facebook there are many people named Juan Maldonado although they are not deputies they are religious and spiritual guidance leaders.

Terrible place. I was placed on probation for one year. Officer Maldonado did not uphold the judges agreement of probation for one year. He extended it then ended up sending me to prison on a probation violation for a restraining order.
