I have been coming here since I was 5 years old. My dear momma would take my older brother and I here twice a month. We would all rent books to read. There have been a lot of great changes. Many fun events are now offered for kids for free. There's even a teen central upstairs. Sometimes, there are video game events, too. This makes it extremely fun for kids and teens. I recently came here for a book fair. Our girls each found a book they loved. I would definitely recommend going to this library. There are many books to look at. Even a little walk around is fun. Everything is interesting to look at.

Got my niece super excited to go to an event that was advertised as free, we get there and find out its a ticketed event, different websites advertise different things. The main point of this review is the staff was extremely rude when dealing with them, I would expect a little more compassion and understanding when dealing with children. Maybe making your ads consistent and clear across all platforms would be helpful.

This place is awesome great books and great service. The people working are always so chill and easy to talk to. They have stuff going on every day in the teen section up stairs so that's really fun.

We love the library! The setting is comfortable and fun for the kids (there are often fun activities) and the staff are so kind and helpful. Almost any books not physically available are available to order from the library system. The library is one of the only places left where someone can exist for free, and they are so essential.

Nice people, clean, cool, free water and power if you need to charge up your phone. They have puzzles set out for everyone to work on and a great selection of books for my kiddos.

The Merced County Library is staffed by friendly, helpful people. The library is a spacious building and has a pretty good collection of books on every topic and genre of fiction. They are continuously working to add quality books to their holdings. They are open Mon though Sat for a generous number of hours. To accommodate folks in a hurry, or those who are avoiding contact with others, they have curbside delivery available. There's enough parking, and they offer various programs for children and youth.

Merced Co., along with Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Kings and Kern Counties all belong to the San Joaquin Valley Library system, which has a shared catalog of MILLIONS of books. You can access this catalog online through your county's website and order a book from anywhere in the system and it will be shipped to the library branch of your choice. You will be notified when your book arrives, and you can check the progress of your holds online.

The Friends of the Merced Library operates a used bookstore within the library. They have an entire room, several hundred books in all subjects. I have been donating read 📚 and finding new treasures. The library itself is dated but the staff is very helpful and there's free internet. They also stay open later until 6 weekdays and all day Saturday.
