Went there for a yearly sinus infection, but the dr stated that he wanted to wait 7-10 more days before he would consider anything other than over the counter meds. I advised that I did not want to wait that long as by that time the infection would travel to my lungs leading to pneumonia which is stupid! He did not do anything, and this type of "medical care" is a danger to anyone in Mitchell county. A "dr" that would rather let an illness go from a sinus infection to pneumonia is a disgrace to the profession.
I then did a tella visit to my out of town provider who wrote a rx, 2 days later 90% better.

Doctor never put a stethoscope on my husband's heart and missed diagnosis of afib. Refused testing for my husband for PSA and prostate. Husband switched doctors and was diagnosed with prostate cancer, not even 2 months after leaving MCHP. Poor medical care, lack of concern for patients, patronizing and arrogant.

I have been going here for 7 years. The secretaries are so nice as are the nurses. Tiffany Woody is so kind, thorough, and trustworthy with your health needs. (She is now at the Burnsville Clinic.) Both clinics are exceptional!

So I went to see Tiffany Woody today at the Bakersville Community Medical Clinic. My appointment was at 3:30 for a CDL physical, I was running behind due to being at work, so I called and let the front desk know! (Those girls are great!), they said I had a 15 minute grace period, so I get to the clinic at 3:46, and got my paper work, set down, filled it out. Waited until 4:17 the nurse came and told me I wasn’t going to be seen due to my tardiness, with that being said she was notified at 3:46 when I got there. Why didn’t she tell me then? Instead of waiting 26 minutes to tell me! Was she punishing me? Is her time more valuable than mine? The point is......do NOT FOOL WITH TIFFANY WOODY!!! She doesn’t care!!!!

Had to go for blood work at the Spruce Pine office, after answering several questions in front of other people in the waiting room, no privacy what so ever, I told them I had some sinus pressure because of having to be out in the rain and wind over Christmas, the lady starts hollering she's got sinus pressure that's a sign of covid what should I do?! In front of everybody in the waiting room! I was so humiliated! Thanks for being discreet over MY health and making me feel so awful in front of everyone! So needless to say, no I did not get my blood test or flu shot and left feeling like I was the most nastiest person on earth! There should be a law protecting people from this kind of behavior in front of other patients.

Not impressed with my contact with the receptionist today concerning my child's appointment at the Micaville location. Received a phone call while at work and was not left a voicemail as to what the call was pertaining to. When I called back the receptionist was slightly rude and quite snappy with me because I didn't know why they called me 🤦‍♂️even after I explained at the beginning of the conversation that I did not receive a voicemail, but somehow I was supposed to know. When she decided to gather the information needed (which she should have done initially) concerning my child's appointment to be tested for Covid-19 a couple of days ago she proceeded to tell me her results had not yet come back. I still needed an explanation for being contacted concerning my child's health, she then transferred me to a nurse who proceeded to tell me the Covid-19 test was negative. It may not be easy to remain compassionate when working in healthcare, but I expect nothing less than professionalism when it comes to the health of my child, nor do I expect an employee to withhold vital information from a child's parent/legal guardian.

All about money and cares very little for patients. What doctors did care for their patients are no longer there. I highly recommend finding anywhere else to go but here.
