Manhattan Beach Community Church has been an incredible space for my spiritual journey since joining in 2022. As a queer-affirming and egalitarian community, MBCC embraces all people with open arms, provides endless opportunities for involvement, and opportunities to give back through volunteerism.

I've grown by contributing to the church's communication board and engaging with the vibrant women's fellowship, including the crafter's community and the soul sisters group. Simultaneously, my husband has explored and expressed his creativity through theater, participating both on stage and behind the scenes for the South Bay's longest-running theater group, which is led by the church.

The faith formation ministers have played a pivotal role in our spiritual journey, creating an inclusive space for growth through diverse activities, from bible studies to interfaith events with our Muslim and Jewish brothers and sisters. The Adult Discussion Group (ADG) sessions before Sunday service have been a highlight, fostering thoughtful discussions on current and historical events among a theologically diverse community.

Senior Pastor Mike Spitters has been a true blessing to us. From our initial visit to MBCC, we recognized his open-mindedness and instantly knew he was the perfect choice to officiate our wedding. His spiritual guidance, from our joining the church to the wedding ceremony and beyond, has been an ongoing blessing for which we are deeply grateful.

If you're seeking an inclusive community to nurture your spiritual growth, regardless of your faith background, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Manhattan Beach Community Church a try.

I was here for a dance company recital with my niece. Everything was amazing. Great place to host a play, dance recital, or event.

If someone out there is looking for a new church home, I'd invite you to consider MBCC. My husband, Randy, and I have been members since the 90s, and our son, Matt, grew up in the church. This is our church home and it truly feels like we are surrounded by family when we are there.

Matt grew up in the children's choir and participated in all the children's theater productions. Such a wonderful experience, with Sunday School, youth group, confirmation, weekends at Pilgrim Pines... It helped him grow into the man he is today.

Randy and I have served on a number of boards and committees over the years. What a great way to serve the church and make new friends! There are so many ways to volunteer your time, even as a newcomer.

Our ministers and staff are wise and caring, and our ministers make the word of God accessible and applicable to our daily lives. And our wonderful organist and our adult choir add so much to our services. Our director of Christian education works to provide learning opportunities to all ages -- and she also brings different generations together through various events and projects, which is just wonderful.

Right now we are holding services virtually, on our church website. But eventually, we will be back on our church campus. Join us! No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here!

I have attended MBCC for many years now, with young kids, teens and now as a soon to be empty nester. At all stages, I have found MBCC to be a safe and supportive church to explore faith, be of service and find community. MBCC is an open and inclusive church with opportunities for all to feel connected.

We started attending mass at MBCC a few years ago after coming to some of the theater productions they host. Now my kids are performing in them:) This is a church but it's also a wonderful community. It is small enough that you don't feel overwhelmed by the number of people. There are many activities for the family including drive in movies, art nights, discussion groups, game nights and volunteer opportunities. All of which were very important to us for making faith part of our children's life. Especially the Sunday School offering which has been consistent even thru the challenges of Covid. We really feel at home at MBCC. As each mass starts we are reminded that no matter who you are, or where you are in life's journey you are welcome here! And we really feel that way!

This church produces 2 theatrical productions each year as part of a 60 year old tradition. Noel Cowards Blithe Spirit just ended today. Cash and checks only. No reserved seating. About 75 seats. The set was very well done as well as costumes. Acting in this play was superb with crisp dialogue and deft stage blocking.
