You recently submitted a letter asking for the removal of critical Great Lakes water rights and misrepresented the facts around Enbridge's ability to properly apply for permits in Michigan. You are also ignoring their failure to follow our laws while throwing the Great Lakes under the bus. Helping an oil company shred water rights is wild behavior in 2025.

I've been in public school education in Michigan for nearly 15 years, most of the time teaching Special Education. I have used the Mackinac Center countless times to understand trends and current events and to help make decisions about my career and public schools. Bottom line, transparency is good and these guys are leading the charge in that. Teachers should not be ashamed of their salary being accessed by the public, we are public servants. Even if it is uncomfortable for some, the information they make available helps people like me not get taken advantage of in my profession.

Donor to the anti-American, anti-democracy, racist, misogynistic, all-around bigoted Project 2025 that prepared the game plan for the destruction of the US federal government we are living through right now.

Really they deserve to be taken to court for what they have done to public education in Michigan. I had to give 1 star in order to write this. For almost my entire career (30 years) Michigan politicians, mostly republicans and the Mackinac Center, have ridiculed my profession and have systematically destroyed the teaching profession along with workers’ rights in Michigan. The Mackinac Center is to blame for not getting the best of the best to teach by promoting an anti-education environment for over 30 years in Michigan? The Mackinac Center along with the GOP in Michigan have created a 67% decline in enrollment among its teacher preparation programs. Remember public education is the last equalizing factor, it does not matter how much money you have, if you work hard you will make it. If the attacks on public education continues we will see the destruction of public schools and the amount of education your child will receive will come down to how much you can afford!

Great organization helping to take back children's education from corrupt teachers unions who unnecessarily shutdown public schools during COVID-19 scam. This reaped untold damage on the youth of our state. Shame on the Unions that don't represent teachers, but they are controlled by devisive extremist special interest factions of the woke far left.

I have to give this place one star too many. They're a slimy think tank who wants more people moving out of Michigan to Florida despite being a think tank in Midland, MI. They also want to ruin public education. I come from a small town. If the school goes, the small town dies shortly there after. Public schools keep the small town alive.

You and Michigan votes can go to hell. Texting people with families at 141am is pathetic. Get your act together and leave people alone.

I contacted MCPP about 5 years ago regarding the failure of our County Road Commission to maintain our roadway and to declare no intention of doing so in the future and operating as a for profit organization. On my first phone call the gentleman with whom I spoke had no interest and paid no attention to what I was telling him. I then recontacted them at a later date and the second person expressed interest and sent a FOIA request to our road commission along with a check for $150. After 6 months of not hearing back from MCPP I called to learn that WCC had failed to respond to the FOIA request and kept the $150. WCPP was too uninterested to even request their money back. They were too uninterested to attempt to provide me with the name of a private attorney who could help.

2023 UPDATE:
I again contacted MCPP about the fact that WCRC is forcing citizens to take SADs as a means of road maintenance, as opposed to constructing new roadways AND by failing to maintain the roads are assuring that they deteriorate within 10 years to keep WCRC in business. The work that they are doing is in violation of PA 51 which requires them to construct roads in compliance with current industry standard. To top it all off, because they are charging as an SAD the money paid by the taxpayers is NOT a tax. And that means that Whitmer can claim that she fixed the roads without raising taxes. The disappointing message that I got from MCPP upon their request for cases of tax abuse was that "this was all too complicated" for them to take on. My reply to them was of course it is complicated. ALL FRAUD IS COMPLICATED OTHERWISE THEY WOULD NOT GET AWAY WITH IT. Overall they are doing absolutely nothing for the taxpayers.
