2024 PRIDE was the worst Pride Event I have ever attended. We opted for the VIP Experience, NEVER AGAIN. What a rip off! WHAT A JOKE! Tiny VIP area only one beverage station NO food section, only 1 messy bathroom.... we saw the Security letting people in without VIP bands on, it looked shady and unfair to us that paid full price... Last time we will ever go to this event.
WARNING TO OTHERS....if you go SKIP THE SO CALLED "VIP" NOT WORTH THE 3 TIMES THE AMOUNT. The entire event was not well organized.

This pride festival was not the best one. The only thing that kind of helped the event was that most people were at EDC so lines were shorter. Still with that there were many empty booths. The food choice was decent, but the bar/drink selection was horrible.
They were serving Smirnoff vodka that was already made and they were pouring it from a jug. Vodka lemonade should not sit there in a warm jug and poured over a full cup of ice. Drinks should be made in front of you if you are charging that much for one “cocktail.” We tried ordering beer and were asked if warm beer was okay? What?! It was hard to find a schedule of events and performances so it was a guessing game. Not enough security were at the main stage where the main performance was at, there was several alterations and pushing in the crowd. There was no spotlight on the performer, so it was very dark to see her face the entire performance.

Worst VIP experience ever! Don’t know what they charge more for VIP?!?! Only thing nice was AC bathrooms.. Line for a drink was well over 30 minutes EVERY time! And then it was $25 a cocktail! Would never pay the upgrade fee for VIP again..they need to learn from other what VIP is all about!

Don't go, much better Prides elsewhere. Workers are super rude and definitely not worth the entry charge and they do not allow in and out, Greed wins with this event, not love. So disappointed.

Until the leadership of this organization changes, it gets a Zero rating from me. The current leadership at Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride, Inc. is comprised of law breakers who are master manipulators that spin untruths, operate many times without board approval, and who use non-profit community funds to benefit themselves and their friends. They threaten and bully anyone who questions or challenges them.

Also, this organization is supposed to be inclusive of the entire LGBTQ acronym. However, their recent actions (Summer/Fall 2018) call into question whether it is indeed a Transgender friendly organization. In particular, this organization blatantly discriminated against one of its own by removing from its board of directors, Alexa Castanon, the only Transgender woman to sit on ANY Pride board in the State of California, and the only member of that organization advocating on behalf of transgenders. They did so without any justification. Yet, at the same time, they voted to keep board members who were the subject of sexual harassment claims, board members who routinely slept during board meetings, a board member who vandalized Pride property by putting her fist through a window in a fit of rage and anger, a member who assaulted a guest as well as another member of the organization, board members who falsified records, and board members who abdicate their duties and responsibilities.

Sadly, the leadership is hell bent on staying in power. So it actively keeps its members and the public in the dark. It is interesting to note that unlike other non-profit organizations that desire and actively seek new members by announcing and promoting their upcoming elections, Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride, Inc. current leadership keeps this type of information hidden from the public so they can maintain their cronyism and nepotism. It is also worth noting how LBLGP tries to maintain a pristine image by limiting who can make public comments on their Facebook page and/or by scrubbing any negative comments about them or the organization.
