The Long Beach Community Garden is a wonderful place to garden. Big plots, approximately 600 square feet. Lots of room for veggies and some flowers to attract bees. The camaraderie in this garden is amazing. Neighbors sharing their crops with each other. It’s so nice to have your own little piece of heaven to grow your own crops. I find it relaxing to dig in the dirt, plant the seeds and water. Walking in the garden is truly delightful. All kinds of different ways to grow plants.

We’ve been here about a year and have had a great experience. Our neighbors, whose plots are around us have been so helpful. Yes, there are rules, but no one has been unkind or has micromanaged us. It’s a lot of work and not for those who don’t have the time to maintain their space. We’ve donated about 80% of our crops to local area shelters and have had some of the most delicious veggies we’ve ever eaten. Come check them out. 👩🏼‍🌾❤️

The fellow gardeners were nice, but the board maintains really demanding standards to keep a 600 sq. ft. plot planted without pouring money into it, and they don't even follow their own rules (they took my crops while I was still renting a plot). I guess that's why so few members actually live in Long Beach and so many plots stay vacant.

Great place to get a community garden plot in LBC. Everybody is nice and willing to help new gardeners. $130 per year. 6 hours of volunteer work required per year. Free mulch and composted manure. Community orchard as well. Sticklers on the garden rules

We've had a plot here since 2020. It's hard work but very satisfying and you make new friends.
