Loma Linda is such an amazing hospital. My 12 yr old son had to spend a total of 12 days here. All the nurses and doctors we encountered were very patient and kind and always took time with my son and made him feel cared about. Some nurses shared their card tricks with him, some played video games with him and others took time in our room and chatted with him about his crazy accident he had that landed him in the hospital. We definitely recommend this hospital to everyone. He had such great patient education from the nurses and doctors that he could teach anyone all about his wound and how to care for it and what the V.A.C. does. No one wants to be in the hospital, but we’re so grateful when we needed to be in one that it was this one.

Nurse Shawn and Nurse josey were amazing. My daughter had to stay in the Picu after her spring assisted surgery and both were so very caring, sweet, and kind. Nurse Shawn even sang my daughter a song this was beyond sweet. I recommend Loma linda children's hospital. Even though our stay was short those two nurses made me feel at ease and my daughter cared for after a stressful surgery and made the recovery process a good one.

We had the best experience for our 6yr old son who needed emergency dental surgery. From the moment we got there after our transfer from another hospital, they really made my family and I feel at ease. The doctors, nurses, staff, security, and even the maintenance staff were all so kind, helpful, and amazing human beings. Everything was explained to us step by step and they were so patient with my husband when he had many questions, which was obviously understandable. I am so thankful for this hospital and everyone who works there. My son said it’s his favorite hospital, because they were nice, took care of him, and had toys to play with lol. They truly think about the kids!

My son was recently admitted to the hospital for four days, and during our stay, we were fortunate to have the best nurses—Krista and Jasmine. They were incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. Even the PCA, whose name I believe was Mayra, was amazing. I am so grateful for the exceptional care and support they provided during such a challenging time. Their dedication and compassion made all the difference. Thank you for everything you do for your patients and their families. Your hard work and kindness do not go unnoticed!

My son was admitted to Loma Linda for a few days. The emergency department was fantastic but once we got into a room upstairs, everything started to go south. He is seven months old and wasn’t nursing or taking any liquids without screaming and tensing up. Many times he was inconsolable for quite some time. A resident said, maybe he doesn’t like the taste of your breast breastmilk anymore,” the next day an attending said “some babies just wean at this age and prefer bottle bottles.” My child has never taken a bottle, so I’m not sure how he would have a preference for something he’s never had.

I asked to see a lactation consultant, But was basically told I wouldn’t be able to see one. They said that maybe they could see me the following day, but the chances were low. At one point, they offered Tylenol and never came back with meds. I was also told OT was going to come in, They never showed up.

On Tuesday a resident came in and asked me if my son had taken in any liquids after they disconnected the IV earlier that day. I said that he had had an ounce And I still haven’t been able to get him to eat. She told me we could choose to be observed for another night but the Attending was offering discharge. It seems negligent to me to discharge an infant who has only had an ounce of fluid. We ended up choosing to be discharged so we could seek care elsewhere.

Please please I beg you , Do Not bring your child here. I’m writing this while still being here in the ER for Over 7 hours of wait and still haven’t seen a Doctor yet. Was able to get my son checked in as soon as we walked in but the process is super slow. Got here at 12 am and it’s now 7 am and still waiting for a Doctor to see my son for an ear infection. Not to mention they do not have any rooms , once you make it to the back they sit you down in chairs in a hall way. We have been waiting for hours and they haven’t given my son anything for pain in the whole 7 hrs of wait . I should have already walked out but I’m thinking maybe the Doctor will come soon . 😞😞 if I were you I would just go to a different hospital.

I don't normally post negative comments but this time I was truly disappointed. With all of my personal experience at Loma Linda I have had nothing but excellent all around care. My youngest was born there and when he got sick a few years later and had to have a stay there the ENTIRE staff was nothing but caring and supportive. So when my daughter-in-law and oldest son chose to have their first baby, my first grandchild, there I was ecstatic. Told them they couldn't have chosen a better place to start their family. Fast forward to now to labor & delivery. My son and daughter in law have been there since Wednesday night, when she was finally in full on active labor the nurse on shift allowed her mother & sister to stay till the birth even though it was already past visiting hours which was great, as a first time mom I knew she was going to need all the support she could get! My complaint is that the mother is not the only one who needs to be cared for & supported, the father does too. My son is a first time dad. This experience was all new and unknown to him, NOT 1 nurse or staff member offered him a chair to sit on since the other chairs were occupied by my daughter in laws family. It is upsetting for me because I am receiving messages from my son in the middle of the night that everyone is asleep and resting while he is standing in the room, he is exhausted and needs to rest too. All his concern is for their rest. I just feel that L & D could have done better for my son, he needed your support too! Hoping that the maternity ward does better with continuing care.
