First visit here with a 3 year old & it's great. They have a big section for toddlers and kids! Nice and clean with a variety of Montessori toys. Such a nice environment! And the gentleman in the front was so nice and welcoming.

Nice, quiet, and clean library. Not many people were in there on the day I visited so there were plenty of empty tables.

Library was nice with ample seating, but I don’t like being buzzed in for the bathroom. I like privacy. I also don’t like feeling rushed by the Hispanic librarian close to closing. I was already leaving at 7:43pm on Wednesday 4/17/24 and she felt the need to ask if I was going home. She has hovered over me before at closing on a previous visit and it’s uncalled for when someone is already packing up. It felt intrusive and I felt racially profiled and I think her behavior is unacceptable. I hate feeling singled out. There were other patrons still there. I think it’s crazy how no one greets you when you come in, but they are full of life when they are being rude trying to kick you out when you are already leaving at a reasonable time.

City of lawndale Christmas tree lightning ceremony . Nice size tree and decoration, never snowed In lawndale, but today kids enjoyed sliding on real snow ,and skated on real ice . There were fresh pop corn and funnel cake stands ,free face painting and chucho train rides . A Mexican folkloric dance was performed by young ladies in traditional Mexican customes . The feeling was festive and joyful.
