I have "rescued" food several times in my area. The app is super easy to use. It tells you specific pickup and drop off instructions, has helpful reminders and links directly to navigation apps to assist with driving. It usually takes me about 1 to 1.5 hours from leaving home to returning home (depending upon the location of the rescue). I would strongly encourage anyone who is passionate about saving food that will be discarded and helping those in need, to consider downloading the app and signing up to help Last Mile Food Rescue.

Great mission and easy to join in on - just download the Last Mile app from your smartphone and look up food rescues in your area.

The organizations are always so happy when you drop food off, and the process is very easy.

Last Mile is a bright spot in Cincinnati. It could not be easier to help those in need as well as reduce the amount of discarded food products. The Last Mile App is well designed and helps me make my scheduled weekly deliveries as well as those that become available daily. Imagine one person helping to reduce hunger- with Last Mile you can be that person.

Last Mile Food Rescue makes it very easy to get food from those with too much (grocery stores, restaurants) to those in need/ the agencies that serve them. It uses an Uber like app so you can see rescues in your area and pick one that fits your schedule. It only takes about an hour to do a rescue. I encourage you to give it a try!

Last mile is making a huge impact on food insecurity. They make it so easy to volunteer and to make a difference. Absolutely no barriers to entry. If you’ve got a car and if you’ve got 60 minutes you have everything you need to keep excellent and nutritious food out of the landfill and put it on the table for our most vulnerable neighbors.

If you want an easy and fun way to help the Earth try downloading this app and giving a food rescue a try. You sign up, check in, and transport food from one location to another. It's as simple as that! This food would have ended up in a landfill, but with your help it goes to less fortunate people. Definitely getting 5 stars from me

I enjoy volunteering for Last Mile Food Rescue. The app is simple to use (and I am NOT tech-y!) and very efficient; you rescue food when it is convenient for YOU. If you have an hour or so and want to help get food to hungry people do this!

I have been rescuing food for Last Mile Food Rescue since the beginning (late fall, 2020). It is enormously fulfilling knowing that the food we rescue will be used by those who need it. The Last Mile Food Rescue management is growing this non-profit responsibly (adding the # of donors, # of non-profits and # of rescuers in a balanced manner). And, personally, I have felt privileged to have made the acquaintance of so many volunteers at food banks located throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. Who knew there were so many food banks in Cincinnati? I didn't!

If you want to make a difference with the food insecurity issue in the regional Cincinnati area and have transportation, this could just be your ticket!
