This newly renovated building was a theater back in the day. Working the Election my poll station was located inside the indoor basketball court. Full kitchen,several restrooms, and a beautiful lobby. Only one handicapped parking spot. If the side doors are not open the parking areas are on both sides of the building. Walking to the front from there may not be easy for anyone who has trouble walking.

My nieces come here for gymnastics classand they love it.
The inside is well illuminated and well maintained, the bathrooms are always clean and since is next door to the police department you can bet is a safe area, specially for kids

Fun fact: this place used to be available to rent fo parties and events, a few years ago

Great activities offered here. Could really use some general maintenance though. They've had leaks in the lobby that destroyed ceiling tiles that have gone unfixed for more than a month. Safety issues like pooled water in the outdoor patio covers that cause extreme sagging and dripping through the fabric over the children's lunch tables. Little things like that plus the older decorations, style, look add to it looking so dilapidated.

West Coast Tae Kwon Do school has been operating at the community center for 35 years. The center is host to many local sport activities including other martial arts and Zumba classes. They have many clinics and special activities like children's ballet, hip hop, gymnastics. They also serve the area with lake rentals, park reservations and much more.

We love this community center, my kids have all gone to preschool here and the programs are great. My only complaint is that sometimes they don't answer the phone and you have to go in to get questions answered.
